It served me well in a previous model until it was stolen.
That's not how it works. My battery lasts for weeks after being fully charged. It is still over 80% charged after months of use. It's time to get a new battery.br>

Excellent value for money.
So far, it seems to be working.
Don't be fooled by Magellan's claim that their batteries are irreplaceable. br>br>After removing a few small screws, the back of the battery can be removed, and this battery fits perfectly where the factory battery used to be. Even more storage space; This battery has a capacity of 1100mAh, whereas the factory battery has a capacity of 750mAh. br>br>Restored the functionality of my Magellan 1700LM!.
In my Magellan RM-100, the installation was simple. 1700, thanks to the invaluable assistance of a Youtube video. The Magellan RM-100 has a hidden screw under a label on the back, according to the video. It also demonstrated how to carefully pry the top and bottom of the case apart, as well as how to remove the plugs from the circuit board, using a small and fine Phillips screwdriver. I used one that came with a kit that I used to replace the battery in an iPhone 5. After the screws were removed, I used the plastic separation tool that came with the kit to pry open the GPS case. It was a tight fit at first, and getting it loose was difficult. If you don't have these tools, you should think about getting them. Otherwise, the replacement was simple and effective in resolving my battery issue.
This purchase has left me completely satisfied.
The price is reasonable, and it is simple to set up. Charges completely and lasts significantly longer than the previous replacement battery, which was only a few years old. If you're going to install it, keep in mind that there's a hidden screw on the back of the unit under the small pad in the middle. If you want to see how it's done, look at the YouTube video. But it's actually quite simple. Of course, how long it will last remains to be seen.
My GPS was able to accommodate a perfect replacement. The 720mAh OEM battery was an excellent upgrade. Six screws, a piece of tape, and a few plugged-in wires were all that was required for installation. I heated the area lightly before pressing in the new battery after prying the old battery from the glue tape. It's very simple. br>br>The price is fantastic, and delivery was lightning fast. HQRP, thank you very much for the freebie!.
It's a direct replacement for our Magellan GPS unit, with the exception that it's more powerful.
