Isopropyl alcohol, a T4 torx screwdriver bit, a plastic pry tool or a thick guitar pick, and a T4 torx screwdriver bit are all you'll need. Unscrew the T4 screws, use the pry tool to pry open the unit, and open it SLOWLY. Take care not to rip the ribbon cable that connects the two halves together. Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly. Isopropyl alcohol was used to remove the old battery from the plastic film. Replace the battery, reconnect it, snap the case shut, and screw it back up. br>br>If you don't have these tools, a precision toolkit in the $10-$20 range can be found here on Amazon or elsewhere. $20. If you're unsure what to get, look up "Kaisi 38-" on the internet. Precision Toolkit with a Piece Magnetic Screwdriver Set It comes with everything you'll need to carry out the procedure. The toolkit is an excellent investment that can be applied to a variety of projects. I have a NuLink one that I've been using for years and it's exactly the same. Much better than the tools that come with most battery kits (including this one).
I turned the power on and put the collar on our dog after installing the new battery and charging it completely. Set the remote to beep and check to see if it's working. Everything appeared to be in excellent condition. The collar began to flash red around the 30 to 32 hour mark. It seemed like a coincidence to me. I switched off the collar and re-charged it fully. The results are the same. The battery it replaced was the one that came with the collar when it was purchased in 2015. By a few hours, the original battery still outperforms the new replacement battery.
My two Garmin Pro Training Collars needed new batteries, so I purchased two. These batteries are no better than the ones I have; they last between 24 and 36 hours before needing to be recharged. Save your money and purchase replacements at Battery. I went to the store and purchased two more batteries; I can now charge the collars for about four days before they need to be recharged.
I must admit that I was hesitant because the package's expiration date was years older than the battery I had used up. There's nothing to be concerned about. It quickly charged and lasted an hour and a half at full power - On battery power, I've never had to use it for that long. (The tool and screws that came with the model had nothing to do with mine - So, what's the point? )br>I couldn't believe the price of a new GPS - As a result of this product, I was able to save a significant amount of money! The shipping was quick, and the setup was simple.
I'm relieved that this battery has solved a problem that could have resulted in a costly equipment replacement. Also, the shipping was extremely quick!.
This makes it easy for Garmin Pro Sport to work properly.
Installing it requires a specialist, and even they might not be able to get the weld done correctly!.
It worked well and was simple to replace.
