LCX 28c is not something I am familiar with.
Doesn't work right out of the box and is expensive. It is installed on my airboat in conjunction with a Lorrance HDS The amount is 5M. A signal doesn't always appear right away on the unit, and sometimes it takes 10-15 minutes before a signal is picked up from the antenna. In the past few years, I have been powering up the boat's generator as I get it ready to launch, then I hope it is ready and working by the time I am on the water. In this case, however, the only option is to install a head unit.
Great product that looks great and functions.
The spinning is fixed by installing version 1 and an NMEA 2000 network, if you don't have it yet. It's a real shame it's so expensive.
Adding it to my electronics gives me a great upgrade at a great value.
Syncs with my GPS and radar and displays a heads up display all the time.
I have changed how I use my chartplotter since then. A screen that does not spin when floating or anchored is now available. The ability to hold on to a wreck with only the throttle is exceptional now as well.
