Questions & Answers

Is there a way to measure the length of the adjustment screw or the actual clamp's dimensions?

The clamp measures 1 and 7/8 inches on the inside. The pad on the screw that secures the bracket to the table, for example, is about a quarter inch thick. This could be clamped on anything from a 0" to 1 3/4" thick surface. The metal bracket is sturdy, but the clamp's screw isn't as sturdy as the bracket.

Is this compatible with the Blue Yeti Radius shockmount?

mic thread: standard 5/8"

Is it possible to use a desktop mic stand with this? I need to adjust the height of a set of iLounds that I'm planning to install. ?

When I purchased this, the mic stand accessory appeared at the bottom of the screen. It can be adjusted to fit this mount perfectly.

What is the diameter of the threaded top on which the microphone is mounted?

The thread size of a standard mic holder is 5/8 27.

Using this mic boom clamp accessory, you can get rid of mic stands
5/5

Piano Bar Singers will love this song. This handy boom clamp is designed to be attached to a thick solid surface (such as a table). You then use a universal threading on the clamp to attach a Mic Boom to it. It's ideal for use as a microphone boom when doing podcasts or live radio broadcasts, for example. In a piano bar, we use this clamp to secure the microphone boom to the piano. The boom is connected to the clamp, which is attached to the piano's sliding (music stand) panel. The On- The stage boom we recently purchased from Amazon is the ideal length for reaching the center of the piano, where the singer will be seated. This clamp eliminates the need for clumsy mic stands that constantly move around and obstruct the recording process. The clamp's inner surfaces also have a bit of rubber on them, which protects the piano's or any furniture's finish while also preventing it from sliding. Because the Mic Boom isn't included, you'll have to buy it separately. The 32" - The On-The-Go Boom is a non-telescoping boom that we bought on Amazon. The MSA7020B is a stage microphone boom.

Instantly failed
3/5

I'm not sure if I got a bad batch, but the clamp immediately stripped out as soon as I tried to tighten it. I ordered two, and the second one behaved in the same way as the first. The threads on the tension screw seemed to be too small for the bolt welded to the clamp's bottom. The clamp wiggled around in there and appeared unstable as soon as I took it out of the package. I didn't use some Neanderthal dumb-waiter to tighten it. strength of a man; Even if I had carefully tightened the clamp to the edge of the table and avoided stripping it out, I doubt it could have supported more than a pound in that state. br>br>The picture shows my solution, which was to increase the thickness to 3/8th, drill out the initial hole, shave off the nut, weld on more metal, tap the hole, and screw in my own tension screw. I ordered these clamps to avoid having to make them from scratch, but I ended up spending the time I would have spent doing so anyway.

There are some significant design flaws in this product
3/5

Instead of being welded or attached with a through-bolt, the top 5/8 threading is threaded on without a retaining system. bolt). When you tighten a screw, the top threading will come loose, along with whatever you've attached to it. It may be nearly impossible to get out, depending on how tightly you screwed it on. This is a truly dreadful design that should be mentioned in the description. br>br>The clamp has no effect on vibrations and will leave a mark on any surface it is screwed to. The square edges aren't rounded at all, and they're sharp enough to scratch the top surface. br>br>Apart from that, the thing is constructed like a tank. If you're mounting to plywood that you don't care about and don't need the 5/8 threading (so you can use it without the ill-advised ill-advised ill-advised ill-advised ill-advised ill-advised ill It's fantastic (a well-considered threaded adapter). Otherwise, you should probably avoid it.

Calculate the area on which it is mounted
5/5

I can't say enough good things about this product; it does exactly what it claims to do. I made the mistake of not double-checking the bracket's thickness before using it. Because the bracket is designed for thicker surfaces than a sheet metal stand, it does not completely close, so I had to fill in the gap with a block of wood. br>Apart from that, it's an excellent product.

This is a great mount
5/5

A table clamp is what it is. I didn't use it because it was very sturdy. I couldn't get the length and angle that I liked when using this. That is entirely my fault, as I failed to measure the corresponding products. I gave it five stars because it appears to be well-made and does not fall off my table as easily as cheaper devices do.

This is a fantastic piece of equipment
5/5

Because the top bolt weld on the first one I bought wasn't ground flat on the inside, it wouldn't sit flat on a table top. it would be scratched I put four self-stick rubber feet under each corner, and it's super sturdy and doesn't scratch. I just placed an order for two more, and I'm going to use rubber feet on them as well because they help it grip so well. For those who haven't noticed or considered it, the clamping screw's plastic end has V-shaped grooves that allow it to be clamped to a round pipe or a stand column. It's not as sturdy as the original, but it'll suffice for most light-duty applications. br>br>It would be nice if they added a dollar sign. 01 mic lock nut, similar to what they use on their "POSI-" microphones. "mini-LOC" is a term that refers to a small amount of "Mini explosion. " br>br>The metal appears to have been heat treated because it does not flex when clamped very tightly.

There is some rust on the mic mount, and it is slightly crooked
3/5

I liked how you can unscrew the microphone screw to reveal a smaller mount, but I quickly noticed that the stem on which you mount the microphone is slightly crooked and also has a little rust on it. If you look closely at the photo, you can see how the stem leans to the right slightly. It's not a huge deal, but I recall reading somewhere that someone else's had rust on theirs, so I thought it was worth mentioning.
