Screen protectors are a perfect fit for this device. The charging and data cables are excellent. It was simple to apply the screen protector, and it fits perfectly - On the watch face, you can't see it. The port protector is excellent at keeping water, sweat, dirt, and other contaminants out of the port, and it's a great deal considering Garmin charges $24. A charging/data cable costs 99 dollars.
The cables that came with my Garmin Instinct, which I bought at the end of 2019, do not charge it. It worked once if I didn't touch it after I got it to sit in the perfect position, supported by a couple of erasers. When I plug it in now, it just says "low battery," regardless of which position it's in or whether the battery is low or not. The factory cable does not cause me any problems.
My watch face is kept cleaner thanks to the screen cover! I used to have to wipe away fingerprints all the time. I like having two cords because I can keep one in my truck and the other in my backpack. The plugs were also a nice addition. Keeps particles and dirt out of the charging area.
When I try to use these for charging or software updates, I get nothing but problems. I'm only going to use the cable that came with the Garmin instinct from now on.
Maybe I just hit the jackpot with this set, but it was ideal for me. Both charging cables worked flawlessly, the screen protector is fantastic, and the charging port plugs are perfectly sized. And the total cost of all of them is less than the total cost of all similar package sets I found on Amazon.
These chords are very appealing to me. They are long enough to fit next to my bed instead of having to carry tickets inside my shoes like I had to do with the original charging cable, which was too short, and they are greatly appreciated.
I'm confident that the silicon and screen protectors will extend the life of this watch.
