On my GPSMAP 547, it worked perfectly. It's likely to work with all plotters in the 500 series.
A 7 plug male pin can be found on the back of your handheld GPS. This is an 8-pin connector. This isn't the case.

It's a good price, and it does exactly what it says it will.
It was exactly what I needed. On a 741xs, I used it.
It's what I'd expect for the price I pay; you get what you pay for, especially if you can't see it with your naked eye. It's certainly better than going to the store. Let's see how long it lasts, that's all I have to say for the time being. I'll be waiting for you.
I'm unable to comment on whether or not this item is functional. We were looking for something that would work with the Garmin echomap chirp 54CV, and we found it. It's not going to work. This cable has six prongs, but we only need four.
