Product Description

Windows, Android, Linux, and the Raspberry Pi are all supported. Google Earth deserves your support. It is incompatible with the Apple iOS operating system.
There is no need for a driver for the Raspberry Pi and Linux.
Data from the GPs protocol is the default output. Modifying switch PS / GLONASS protocol data with software or serial commands is possible.
Please keep in mind that this dongle can only be used outside. You'll need a GPS amplifier if you want it to work indoors. The GPS won't be able to lock if this happens.
Please contact us if you require VK-172 driver downloads or instructional videos.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to get GPS data using Python on a Raspberry Pi?

Yes, python on the Raspberry Pi can be used to get GPS data.br>When connected, it creates a serial port on /dev/ttyUSB0, 9600 baud.br>To get data, use the standard python serial library.

Is it possible for me to use it to find my way around?

This can be put to a lot of different uses. Mine is used for both bike navigation and tracking a small computer. Zlappy is on my mind, so I go looking for him. com for the drivers, and it's been working flawlessly since then.

I'm not sure what the antenna connector is for. ?

Micro FL. It's only good for five connect/disconnect cycles, so be cautious. Once you've connected an antenna or, better yet, an adapter cable, make sure you keep it secure.

Great GPS for the money; for $14, this thing is pretty amazing

I've been buying and testing just about every little GPS module with Ublox- it's one of the best GPS modules you can buy at a good price
5/5

You have the option to purchase eight. This turns out to be the Wild West, with many products that don't work at all, some that appear to be fakes, and a few that work perfectly. I tried a few with integral antennas in the hopes of finding the perfect one, but none of them perform as well as this one. I conduct all of my testing on my kitchen counter because they will all work reasonably well outside under ideal conditions, and it's more difficult to detect the few decibels of difference that might matter in more stressful real-world conditions. This receiver was ready to use right out of the box. 2 minutes of 3D tracking of a large number of GPS and Glonass satellites, followed by 3D/DGNSS SBAS tracking. This is fantastic. br>br>Whether it's in the middle of my house or near a window, this receiver averages around 3 dB. With a precision of 5m and a score of 7, it's possible to achieve a score of Short-term deviations of 5m. This module is the lower plot in the attached image, and I believe this is a worst-case scenario-type scenario. It was pretty blind to half the sky on a window sill facing South, whereas in my kitchen, it had weaker signals all around but some through windows in all directions (note that the deviations are much smaller East/West, rather than circular as in my kitchen). Many modules perform far worse than this, and this is by far the best. What a little gem this module is, top performance with the included antenna, flexibility to change to a different antenna or use a longer cable to remotely control it if desired. These two, almost identical, are the next best performers: br>br> br>are fantastic; they always come up super fast and quickly transition to 3D/DGNSS, booming signals, and tight tracking- in my kitchen, which is on the second floor and has a two-story blockade above it. When compared to the "DIYmall Micro GPSV5 GPS Module GNSS HMC5983 Saw LNA Triple Band Antenna ANT," the "DIYmall Micro GPSV5 GPS Module GNSS HMC5983 Saw LNA Triple Band Antenna ANT" performed slightly better. Because the antenna was similar in size but not as close to the laptop, side testing was possible. This was the best module with an integrated antenna: br>br> is the top receiver in the attached performance plot; it's not quite as good as this one, but it's still impressive given its size and weight. br>br>While most of these receivers come with little documentation, they all have silkscreen markings that show you how to connect them. The only clue was a red wire (with five black wires)--I'll mention this receiver because it had no markings and no easily accessible documentation. Because the red wire isn't connected to anything, I'm pretty sure I blew it up. It's a shame because it appears to be genuine and well-made, but buyer beware! Finally, don't waste your time with the Adafruit "Ultimate GPS Receiver," which was one of the worst performers of all (more akin to a Ublox-style GPS receiver).

On Windows 10, it works fine, but it could be clearer about which drivers to use and where to find them
4/5

On Windows 10, it works fine. On my Venue 8 pro, I was able to use the Microsoft Maps app for navigation. If you want to use any modern apps on this GPS with Windows 7, 8, or 10, make sure you download and install the "ublox GNSS Sensor Driver v2. 21 for Windows 10 and Windows 8. 1/8" x 7" x 1/8" x 1/8" x 1/8 a "u-" is a "u-" is an "u-" is an "u-" is an "u blox 7 GNSS", also known as "blox 7 GNSS", is a satellite navigation system developed by blo "UBX- You can and should use the drivers directly from the chip manufacturer if you have a device based on the G7020. (For more information, see the link above. ) )br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>After installing the drivers, plug in the GPS and wait for the green light to On my first attempt, it took me about 10 to 15 minutes. It now starts up from a cold state (being plugged in) and gets a location in about 5 to 10 seconds after the first lock.
