Yes, you can clone a drive from a hard drive to a solid state drive. Last month, I tried and failed miserably because the Xbox One X simply does not cooperate. Instead, search for offline USB update for xbox and follow the instructions (this is not the dock's fault). Andrew Paul has a number of videos. If you don't want a brick but a good console, I wouldn't recommend it. I'm still having trouble getting my Xbox One X to work. My headache began when I attempted to upgrade my ssd, in my own experience.
The WEME hard drive docking station can accommodate up to two hard drives. 5" and 3. Hard drives with a 5" SATA interface. You can use our docking station with any hard drive that has a SATA interface. Thank you. br>br> Regards, the WEme Customer Service Teambr>
I've cloned a total of 25 500GB drives. It took about 85 minutes to complete them all. Each performance will last 90 minutes. I'm not sure how far you could extrapolate from that - but - 2 TB is equal to 4 x 500 GB - One difference is that I was cloning a hard drive to an SSD, so it took me close to 6 hours. It would take a little longer to go from difficult to difficult. br>That is simply my opinion and observation- This isn't a scientific test.
Yes, if you have a USB-enabled computer. You could use a USB C Female to USB-C Male adapter as a port. To get to work, you'll need a male adapter. Please keep in mind that the one listed under USB3 is the one to get. For better use, a score of 0 is recommended. Thank you. br>br> Best wishes, WEme Customer Servicebr>

This allowed me to easily clone all of my hard drives without buying software and it didn't even require an internet connection, plus I discovered I could dock both of my old hard drives and keep them connected to my laptop as external storage! When it comes to everything, one! The cloning speed was incredible, and I was able to load anything from the external drives in seconds thanks to the super fast USB c connection! There's nothing I don't like about this dock, can't beat the price and quality, I love it! It also has an auto shutdown feature so my drives don't spin when they're not in use, extending their overall lifetime. There's nothing I don't like about this dock, can't beat the price and quality, I love it!.
At least in terms of using it as a basic dock, the device performs as expected. I haven't tried using it to clone a drive yet, so I can't comment on that. However, it does not work with drive diagnostic software, specifically SeaTools from Seagate, which I discovered to be a significant disadvantage. One of the reasons I purchased the dock was to test (possibly) failing drives. Unfortunately, when SeaTools is started, it tries to scan all attached drives first, which disconnects or ejects the docked drive from the drive list. Even if the drive in the dock was working fine before, it disappears as soon as SeaTools tries to scan it, making any type of diagnostic impossible.
A short tale. A lightning strike struck my home. It blew out my Macbook Pro and my 2011 HP Desktop, both of which I used for minor tasks such as web browsing. I also used it to store photos, music, and my tax returns. br>br>Normally, I back up everything except my taxes, but this time I didn't. I thought I completed them on my Macbook, but it turns out that I completed them on this system, and now it's tax season, and I don't have a copy of my taxes from the previous year. (br>br>I managed to break the SATA connector off of this old Hitachi HDD, and as you can see, all of the pins are out of whack, with one pin even missing. ) I did order a new controller board for this drive, but since I didn't have the computer (which had been fried by the lightning strike), I figured I'd get this external drive reader as well. br>br>I carefully placed this drive in the drive reader, and to my surprise, my laptop was able to read it, allowing me to copy almost everything I needed! I couldn't go too far into some directories (I'm guessing the missing pin had something to do with it), but I'm happy that this reader allowed me to get more of what I needed. br>br>I took a picture of my hard drive to show you what I was up against. br>br>I'm sure almost any reader would have done the same, but I'm very pleased with my reader purchase. I'm confident you'll like it as well! Yes, I'd recommend this product; I'm not sure how often I'll use it, but I'm confident it'll be dependable when I do.
I was in line at the geek squad when I noticed this was less than $40 on Amazon. So I told Best Buy to go eat an egg and went ahead and bought this stand-alone unit. br>br>IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! DRIVE A THAT HAS BEEN CLONED TO DRIVE B WITH ONLY THE DRIVE DOING THE WORK. NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING THIS DOESN'T EXIST, SAYS THE BEST BUY. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE GEEK SQUAD, AS THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT. br>br>IF I could, I would give it ten stars.
After that, I assigned a letter to the drive. The procedure was simple because I had done it before and knew what to do. If you want, you can connect the unit to my computer via USB C and use it as an external drive(s).
All- All in all, I'm happy with my purchase; it does exactly what it's supposed to do.
This was purchased so that I could continue to use a drive that I had removed from my 2012 iMac. I also use Boot Camp to run Windows 10, and this dock worked flawlessly in both operating systems without the need for any drivers. I ordered this USB drive by accident. Although I have a USB 3. 0 port, I prefer the C version. 0 external drives with the same USB-type connector The dock is compatible with the B connector, so you could use this on older machines with a $6 cable. br>br>Windows 10 picked up on the two 3 almost immediately. I tried 5" drives in it, but MacOS took a long time to mount them, so be patient if you're using it with a Mac. Once the operating system recognized the drives, transfer speeds were extremely fast.
decent build quality, and fast, with SATA SSDs reaching 425MB/sec, which is respectable for USB3. 1 Gen1 (even if it's a little short on specs) and what's supposed to be Gen2 (10GB instead of 5GB). It's more than fast enough if you're putting in sping drives. It's fine for backups and indexing drives for me, but if you want the most out of your SSDs, look elsewhere. Gen1 is listed on the packaging, but Gen2 is listed as well.
I'd had it with you, and I'd had it with you. I attempted to clone myself using an e-bay IDE cable that cost $8. bay. I'm not an expert in the field of information technology. After watching a YouTube video, I decided to purchase this docking station. Bob's your uncle, by the way. BAM! In about half an hour, I went from 1TB to 2TB. Push the button, then walk away and return. You've been cloned, in case you didn't notice. When you're finished, you'll need to expand the partition to 2TB. This is fantastic! If you want to avoid paying the $200 annual fee for Geek Squad, this is a must!.
