Hello! That is a question for which I have no answer. But! The correct screws are included in the sled. OWC is a customer-friendly site, and I believe they'll be able to assist you. Best wishes to you.
If the year is 2009, it is a good year to buy. You have a year in 2012, and you have a year in 2008. Let's take a look at that. That's a definite no!
Hello! Unfortunately, this drive sled does not come in silver.
Hello. Sorry, but a MacPro 1,1 will not work with this. To convert the 3.0 to 3.0, you'll need to look for an Adapta drive. Drive from a 5" to a 2" 5".

It was used to install the new Samsung 860 EVO 1TB 2. Internal SSD drive (MZ-5) with SATA III interface (5"). 76E1T0B/AM) slid in as if it were original equipment, and bingo, disk utility was up and running in a matter of seconds. br>br>The sled's quality is excellent; it's well-made of aluminum, has a nice finish, the screw holes are precisely where they should be, and the required mounting screws (for the 2. ) are included. (Supplied with a 5" hard drive) It arrived in perfect condition in its original box. If only the majority of products were as well-designed for their intended use! I give it my strongest endorsement.
My 2010 MAC PRO is one of my favorite computers, and I refuse to let it go. The new Mac Pro is my personal favorite. s, while impressive, are way out of the ballpark in terms of return on investment. As a result, I continue to use my 2010 MAC Pro for my day-to-day work. I'm running Mojave and Windows 10 on separate drives for my day-to-day computing needs. Without Bootcamp, Windows is installed in its default state. I wanted and needed to upgrade to SSDs, so I purchased two of OWC's 2. Sleds with a 5-inch drive. They function flawlessly. They're well-made and simple to set up. Both of my operating systems now run on 1TB drives. The blue sleds are also appealing to me. It's a lot easier to tell the difference between my regular and SSD drives now. If you're thinking about replacing your 2010-era hard drives with SSDs, If you have a 2012 Mac Pro, this is a must-have item, and I highly recommend it!.
These fit perfectly in my mid-2010 "cheese grater. " I ended up purchasing three. br>br>I purchased the Cosair CSSD- by accident. BRKT2 brackets are not compatible with Macs! Don't make the same mistakes that I did. I figured I could attach the cosair bracket to the silver shuttle that came standard with the Mac. This is not going to happen. The corsair bracket will fit on the silver Mac sled, but it will not be properly aligned. I tried a lot of "messaging" to make it fit, but it didn't work. These OWC SSD mounts are perfect for your Mac tower and fit the SSD perfectly. These are of excellent quality, with a lovely blue paint job.
There are five drive bays available. When I added a 2 to this product, it became a nessicity. My 2010 Mac Pro 5,1 has a total of five SSDs. The SSD was easily installed into one of my drive bays and fit perfectly onto the caddy. This also worked well with the Mac Pro's main startup drive, which is a PCIe SSD on the motherboard. The SSD was more secure in the drive bay as a storage backup with the mount pro drive sled than if it had been taped in the drive bay(s). For my 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 upgraded to the 5,1, I intend to order another mount drive sled in the future. If you have a 2009, this is for you. If you're mounting a 2. I strongly suggest the 2012 Mac Pro. 5 drives should be inserted into the drive bays.
This will keep my 2012 Mac Pro running until Apple resumes production of professional desktop computers. br>br>Hopefully, the New 2018 Mac Pro will meet the needs of professionals. (Of course, the Mac Pro with the "black cylinder" isn't for professionals. ) )br>br>With the OWC Drive Sled, I was able to install a 2 TB solid-state drive. It only took a few seconds to install the solid-state drive.
It had been a chilly and stormy evening. Rain pelted the windows, and hail became increasingly likely as lightning flashed across the sky. As I removed the side of my beleaguered 2010 Mac Pro, I saw internals that were straining for life but had yet to achieve it, I laughed maniacally. It had no power, no ports, and a gaping hole where the new brain (a Samsung SSD) would be installed soon. As another flash of light flashed across the sky, power surged through the neighborhood, I chuckled. "Not yet!" br>br>"Not yet!" br>br>"Not yet!" br>br> " With the help of the OWC mount, I found myself cradling the faster brain that would breathe new life into my aging tower, sliding it in and locking it into place without a hitch. The drives (aside from the SSD) whirred, the monitors hummed, and it was time to call forth lighting from the sky (or the power strip, your choice). it. It had come to life! Everything came back to life, and thanks to the cradle, my computer was able to run like new again. br>br>Fast forward a few years, and we've arrived at the present day; The mount has worked flawlessly for me, and everything is in working order. The enclosure keeps the drive cool, and I've had no problems with it since. Thank you, OWC! br>br>.
These are both impressive and simple. 5" mounting solution is available! I was hesitant to buy two of these without feeling them in my hands at first, but once they arrived (just now), I was blown away by the elegant and durable long-term durability. An interactive CAD workload environment is provided by this short-term solution. There are far too many of those low-cost 3D or injection-molded plastics on the market. Molded plastic "solutions" are so brittle and delicate that they'll inevitably result in a bad "seat" and/or excessive wear on the SATA connector. This OWC is number two. 5 INCHES SOLID METAL (Aluminum? ) solution runs smoothly on my OEM Mac Pro 4,1 (and 5,1 as well!).
Blue is a color that I like. You can see which bay your new SSD is in just by looking at it. I cloned the drive I replaced, and I like the fact that I can keep the original drive in its carrier. If I ever need it, it'll be a great backup to my new one.
