Questions & Answers

Let me ask you a question if you don't mind if I do. Can this copy flash drives offline in the same way that it copies hard drives?

It will not be able to do so without the use of third-party software. Only the drives in the A and B slots can be replicated.

Is it possible to recover data from an old hard drive?

Dear Customer,br>If your old hard drive is not mechanically damaged and can be accessed by connecting to a computer, the data on it can be read and copied to the new hard disk using DS02. If the problem is a logic failure, you can use repair software to fix it and read the data from the DS02 connected to the computer. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. br>Best regards, br>ikuai Team

Is it compatible with the silicon m1 chip from Apple? Is there a big sur mac os?

Yes, the ikuai SATA to USB 3 converter is a good choice. The 0 Dual Bay Hard Drive Dock works with m1 chip devices and Big Sur Mac OS X.

Is the drive's automatic hibernation mode, which kicks in after 10 minutes of inactivity, working for anyone?

Hello! To begin, make sure the HDD dock is not connected to a router or any other device that uses non-standard network connections. Data syncing should be turned off. If the hard drive docking station still won't go into hibernation mode, please contact our customer service team for help with firmware updates.

It works, but there's a catch
4/5

The bad: br>The SD card slot is broken. When I disassembled the unit, I discovered that the plastic shroud that guides the SD card had broken. I reattached it with epoxy, but the port is still not operational. There will be a drive listed, but no content. Strange. br>The good news is that you should be aware of the following: Given that this device's primary function is to copy data from one hard drive to another. If you want to use the docking station to access two different drives later, you'll have to make sure they're the same size, which I'm not sure will work. The unit restricts the size of the second drive to that of the first; for example, if you put a 1 TB drive in the copy slot and a good working 2 TB drive in the farthest slot, the second drive will be limited to the size of the first. In Windows, that drive will show up as a 1 TB drive! br>Now that I know that, I only use the first slot to access a drive on a daily basis. br>THE GOOD: br>The micro SD card slot is functional, as are the USB ports, and the hard drive ports themselves are plug-and-play. br>br>Overall, I'd give it a seven out of ten.

Plugging in is simple This device worked flawlessly right out of the box as a data hub/drive "enclosure" for a Raspberry Pi file and media server
4/5

Given the hilariously bad English used on the packaging and instructions, this is probably a good thing. At the moment, it's supplying electricity to a 3. On the Debian platform of the Raspberry Pi, I was able to connect a 5" SATA drive and two old portable USB drives with no noticeable latency, even over the network. Connecting the externals to this powered hub has also resulted in a reduction in the power load (and thus heat) that passes through the Pi's USB ports. br>br>Assembly: br>br>Assembly: br>assembly Debian Linux automounts all three drives without issue, and assigning them permanently in FSTAB works as well, with no read issues or latency. When I plugged it into the dock to test it, Windows seamlessly re-mounted the SATA drive from a Windows 10 installation where it was a Mounted Volume attached to a nested subdirectory. It was reinstalled in its previously assigned location. br>br>Power management appears to be OS dependent, so there isn't much on the Pi, and it's found in Power Options and Device Manager in Windows. I didn't put the hot-water bottle through its paces. Neither the swap capability nor the cloning function are required at this time. br>br>Though it isn't technically a "drive enclosure," it serves a similar purpose. Unfortunately, because the drive bays are visible, drive motor noise is unavoidable. When in use, the bays are quiet, but when they're empty, dust and other debris can get into the SATA connector slots. It would have gotten a full 5 star rating if it had a simple vented shell that fit over the whole thing and SATA drives in the bays. It is highly recommended.

5/5

0 with UASP 2x HDD with 16TB capacity, 2x USB 3 slots, and TF SD slots. I'm not being compensated for this review, and I'm talking about the UASP DS02 Sata 3, which has 16TB of HD storage, TF/SD slots, 2x USB 3 ports, and 2x 2. 5inch/3. Slots that measure 5 inches On the 10th of October, 2020, an order was placed. BUYING USED OR REFURBISHED OLD MODELS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. To be on the safe side, get the latest new version! I have a few older clone/sata external drive enclosures that have served me well over the years. I needed something that would allow me to do more and be faster, so I took a chance on this one after conducting extensive research. REGRETS ARE NOT AN OPTION! This device fulfills all of my requirements. YES - You can use two hard drives at the same time, each with its own letter assigned to it. Any file from the computer can be easily transferred to either of the two drives. The 2. The smaller 5 inch drive fits easily into the slot, and the larger 3 inch drive has a spring-loaded cover. Drives up to 5 inches It adds to the unit's aesthetic appeal while also keeping dust at bay. The power supply is 3 amps, and I'm using it to power one USB 3 memory stick and two Sata 3 hard drives. At the same time, there are 5 inch drives and a TF card!! With a single click, you can transfer ANY file from the two hard drives to the USB stick and vice versa. However, unless you remove the USB stick, you will not be able to transfer a file to the TFSD card. After removing the USB stick, you have full access to the TFSD card, which is very fast, but occasionally a file appears to transfer slowly. All files transfer quickly from hard drive to hard drive, but a hard drive to USB 3 transfer appears to stutter on a few rare occasions. I copy most movies that are 2 GB each and it's super fast, but be aware that making multiple copies onto ANY USB drive will significantly slow down the process due to the drive's design. Any number of copies on a USB stick, regardless of version, will slow to a halt. It'll be like warp speed if you just copy one file at a time. This is how I'm backing up my movies and games to a 4TB 3. The TF/SD card slots are just a bonus and, like icing on the cake, make this an ultimate unit. 5 inch drive and to USB 3 memory stick are both lightning fast; the TF/SD card slots are just a bonus and, like icing on the cake, make this an ultimate unit. The power supply provides 3 amps of power, which is more than enough to keep everything running. I have not tested "OLDER" drives that may require more power, but in that case, a higher-amperage power supply should be used. It also includes a large, thick USB 3. 0 port. The computer is connected by a 0 cord that appears to be three feet long. It includes a nice manual with a small footprint but plenty of information, including color diagrams and troubleshooting. Warranty is for one year. I left two 4TB hard drives and a USB stick powered on for several hours, and the hard drives are only slightly warm. They never get hot, and this unit has enough clearance for the drives to stay cool. Everything is "HOT SWAPABLE," according to the label. " That is correct, but honestly, that is a DUMB way of dealing with this. THINKING THINKING THINKING THINKING THIN DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO DO IT RIGHT. TO SAVE PROPERLY, ALWAYS DISMANTLE THE DRIVES FIRST, THEN TURN OFF THE UNIT WITH THE EASY CLICK ON/OFF BUTTON ON THE BACK TO AVOID ANY CHANCE OF CORRUPTION OR DAMAGING OF YOUR FILES.
