I don't have the ifixit kit, but the bits appear to be very durable, especially considering they're only used on small items like computers.

The pentalobe and tritalobe, for example, are included. parts of wings br>br>The Torx bits are available in both standard and high security versions. I'm not sure why the set requires both because the high security bits also fit the standard security fasteners. It would have been better if the space had been used to add a new bit type. The hex bits, on the other hand, aren't the security type. And the set appears to be entirely made up of metric bits, with no English bits. This is a clear area where you could make a difference. br>br>Hook and loop fasteners (Velcro) secure the bit holders to the case. This enables them to be moved around. I moved them closer together to make it less likely that the bits would fall out.
Overall, this is a useful set of tools. A wide range of bits and tools are available. It's a term I frequently employ. The most serious flaw is that they are excessively pointed. The pattern is pointed so that it does not touch the screw pattern. They could be ground down, but there's no reason why they should have to. I received them a little after the return deadline because they were a gift. br>As I come across them, I grind them down a little; so far, I haven't destroyed any. br>However, only a few of them (so far) are in this category.
This was purchased to disassemble an iPhone 8 that I had purchased. I was worried about the security screws and other things like that. This DOES include everything you'll need (though you may need to do some research to determine the exact pieces you'll need to ensure you get the right ones). A larger magnetic board, however, is something I would recommend. The small one may be adequate, but it isn't particularly powerful. There isn't much else to say; it did the job and the price for the small kit was reasonable. Those tweezers proved to be extremely useful. For time-consuming electronic repairs, I would suggest this. br>br>As there is no vacuum cleaner included, I gave the suction a one-star rating.
When I needed to fix a couple of laptops for myself and my family, this tool kit came in handy. This tools set made it much easier to fix my items, from broken headset jacks to power jack tips in laptops, to opening laptops and doing some basic cleaning maintenance inside! There are numerous bits to choose from - I've only used three so far, but they've all been fantastic. The fact that they are magnetized is something I really like and appreciate. It was a relief to keep my screws secure while moving them so that I could keep them organized, especially since I had the option to demagnetize them. I wish I had bought it sooner. By repairing my items myself, I was able to save a significant amount of money, so this purchase was well worth it for me. I now have these tools to help me in the future!.
This item has a lot of negative reviews. I used it twice before one of the bits snapped during laptop disassembly. I didn't have to use much force to get the bit to twist. They look and feel great, but the metal used on the bits is of very poor quality. So, unless you're looking for light to "soft" duty, I wouldn't recommend these. Spend a little more and get some high-quality tools, which is exactly what I'm going to do.
With the help of this kit, my son and I were able to replace a fan on a more recent HP laptop. The kit made the task simple and straightforward. I can see it paying for itself in saved repair costs after just one use. Sending the computer away for five to six weeks for fan repair at a cost of $100 vs. buying a new fan and using this tool kit. It took about a week for both of them to be delivered. It took under an hour to replace the fan. And now we have the tools to service any issue that may arise on any laptop, PC, or other technology that you believe you can fix. (Many thanks to YouTube. ) PS: The fabric holder/case is well-made. I'd tell a friend about it.
a filter cover for the air conditioner The bits themselves disintegrate slightly, but this is insignificant after a long period of use. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have it. no clue. With this, I received a lot of value.
It's a useful kit to have on hand for fixing glasses, computers, and other "tiny screw" items. Because they are cheap and likely to strip easily, don't expect to use a lot of torque, but they are fine and convenient to have around the house for the tiny screws. I was pleased to find that this kit included the unusual little screws that my laptop requires.
