Samsung Pay with NFC is used on the Watch3, but no MST (magnetic stripe technology) is used. If your watch is connected to an iOS device, Samsung Pay will not work (Apple does not allow it).
Yes. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a heart-monitoring electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) app for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. On 08/15/20, this was taken from the GSM Arena website: "In the United States, there's some good news for Galaxy Watch3 owners - The FDA appears to have given their approval, and it is now officially ECG-approved. certified throughout the country This was made clear by a firmware update that users in the United States began to receive.
It specifically states that it is compatible with "select" iOS devices; check the website for more information on specific device compatibility. Stop responding to questions about which you have no knowledge. False information is more dangerous than having no information at all.

But that is the only difference because I am in South Africa. Aside from the shorter battery life (due to a smaller battery vs. a larger battery), In South Africa, blood pressure, blood oxygen, and ECG are not supported, and there is no word on when they will be! Furthermore, the ECG is only available in the United States and South Korea when paired with a Samsung Galaxy phone! When the watch 3 was first released, however, no such criteria were mentioned. Based on this, I have no doubt that when (if) these functions become available in South Africa, they will be restricted to Samsung Galaxy phones! In the marketing materials for this watch, there is a blatant misrepresentation! br>br>It perplexes me that we are being charged the same price for hardware that we cannot use as the United States and other markets (where these functions are available). br>br>In general - Make a financial saving. Instead, get a Galaxy Watch from the previous generation. It's a shame there isn't much competition for the Galaxy Watch 3 in the Android market, allowing Samsung to get away with it.
While Apple Watches are fantastic devices that are simple to operate, I have to say that my current smartwatch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch3 41mm, has been the most enjoyable to use. This is one classy baby in terms of appearance! It has a round face and therefore appears to be a watch. The watch's skin is fantastic; it complements the round display and is just as easy to use as Apple's WatchOS (yet so much more useful!). My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S20, so it works perfectly with it. I've also had fun changing the watch faces on it, and the Galaxy Store has a lot of them! I'm aware that I'm rambling, so I'll just say it: this is well worth the investment!.
I purchased a Samsung Watch3 after seeing a promotion on the internet stating that it could measure blood pressure. Samsung Tech Support, on the other hand, stated that Samsung Health Monitor Version 1 is no longer available. The newest version for the US market is the 0105, which does not include a blood pressure monitor. Version 1 is the most recent one. In a foreign country, dial 0175. Be aware.
The watch has a long battery life and has never had less than 50% life after a full day of wear. If there is a break in the sleep or a nap, the watch has some issues managing a combined sleep score and occasionally appears to overlook one part of the sleep schedule. Furthermore, the health apps display advertisements for Samsung products at the top of the screen that cannot be turned off. br>br>The deciding factor: Unfortunately, using the ECG function requires a Samsung phone, as has now been well documented. This problem was not explained to me when I bought the watch, and I am extremely disappointed in Samsung for what I believe to be a misrepresentation.
It's a shame that a watch with this price tag doesn't come with all of the bells and whistles. There is no way to keep track of your blood pressure. Poor battery life (less than 24 hours), which is disappointing, and the product's success appears to be in jeopardy unless Samsung addresses these flaws and lowers the price. Worst of all, Samsung customer service in the United States is woefully inadequate, with no one there having any knowledge of their own product and being poorly trained, and they failed to respond to my technical question.
The watch comes with an app that tracks all of your activities, including how long and well you sleep. It's only when I need to charge it that I take it off. Because I'm self-motivated, I didn't think a device could help me. a person who is driven Yet, thanks to the feedback and statistics provided by this watch, I'm even more motivated to be active. It also makes life easier in a variety of small ways, such as allowing you to check out with Samsung Pay and approve 2-hour requests. With just a touch, I can find my phone if I misplace it, take remote photos with my phone from my watch, and even make calls while my phone is in another room. It even includes a feature that sends an SOS message to my spouse if I take a hard fall. I waited a long time to buy this, but when it went on sale just before the holidays, I knew it was the right time. So, if you're an active person who enjoys high-intensity activities, this is the jacket for you. You'll find that it's just as important as a smartphone when it comes to technology.
but. (Review in 41mm) This is a fantastic addition for those who want to keep up with the latest news. Since getting the watch, I haven't missed a single call, text, or misplaced my phone. I frequently put my phone on silent mode and miss calls, but with the watch connected to my phone, this is no longer an issue. When I get a call, send a text, or walk too far away from my phone, the watch vibrates. When you activate the find my phone feature on the watch, your phone will begin to ring. The feature I like best is that you can simply look at your wrist to see who is calling, and if it is spam, you can simply hang up from the watch. There's no need to take out the phone to see who's calling anymore. br>However, you should charge it at least once a day. I leave the watch face on during the day and by 10pm it has drained the battery to about 45% of its capacity. About 12 hours, or two days if the watch face is turned off. The watch's most significant flaw is its battery technology. br>I am very pleased with my purchase.
