The remote control was never functional. Face recognition is another option. With no issues, I was able to connect to Bluetooth. Should've returned if he wasn't happy.

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows you to connect I'm not sure why it only says iPhone X and not iPhone 12, but it still works, and it's surprisingly good! Particularly useful is the Bluetooth feature
