I also had problems with the force touch not working properly, so I returned the panel and bought a new one. br>The second panel fixed the issue with the screen getting hot and shutting down, but the force touch is now on the bottom of the keyboard instead of the entire keyboard, and when I type on the keyboard, it starts to swipe type, which I don't understand because I'm not dragging my finger across the keyboard. br>I later received an email from the marking manager telling me to delete my negative review if I wanted a refund for the first screen I replaced. I was under the impression that I had received a refund, but when I checked, it did not appear. I was advised to contact Amazon for a refund after I updated my review. I have no idea what just happened or who that individual was. br>I'm not sure what's going on, but it feels like a slap in the face. br>br>I gave three stars because the second screen did not overheat and shut down, but the force touch issues on both screens remained the same. I also didn't appreciate receiving emails from the seller attempting to persuade me to remove my negative review in exchange for a refund.
After a few days, it's starting to fail. The installation went smoothly, though the included tools were of average quality (I wasn't expecting much). They couldn't get a good grip on the phone's small fasteners. The color vibrance and contrast of the screen are not as good as they were on the original. Additionally, the viewing angles appear to be a little tighter. When I turned on my phone, the result was a mix of delight that it turned on without issue, but disappointment that the screen quality had noticeably deteriorated. br>br>I recently replaced the screen on my iPhone X, which had cracked about a year ago, as well as the battery, in order to extend the life of the phone by another year or two. It's now four years old, and it was sent in for a warranty repair before it ran out. Given the comparatively low price point, I believe I got what I paid for with this screen and its battery, as long as it lasts a long time. If you're looking for something that works on the cheap. . . this should suffice. I'd keep looking for a high-quality display at a lower cost. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: The screen started flickering less than a week after it was installed. I don't think it will fail outright, but it is a pain to look at and will need to be replaced (again).
This is a screen that should not be purchased. This is a disaster. The color is incorrect, and the touch sensitivity is terrible. My dot sensor was shorted out, and my face ID was destroyed as a result of this screen. For any reason, I would not advise anyone to use this screen. What a blunder. I'm enraged! Please, Amazon, assist you!.
After three months, the screen became completely blacked out. immediately following the return window The phone sat on the desk, unused. Hard reset, DFU reset, total restore, and reinstalling display cables have all been tried. It was a waste of hours, time, and money when the display came on and then went back to black after restarting. Also, the screen protector was a waste. The image appears to be crisp and bright. br>br>Because some of the screws are so small, the repair took a little patience on my part. It's great to have a phone that works again! br>br>.
Because this is not an OEM replacement, the screen does not fit flush and sits slightly higher than standard aftermarket screens. The display's colors are terrible, and many things, particularly white parts of the screen, have a noticeable yellow tint, even when compared to an iPhone without True Tone. Your battery is also being drained far more than it should be by the screen. When looking at battery usage it drains 5% overnight while doing nothing and doing nothing and doing nothing and doing nothing and doing nothing and do.
The only reason I gave it a four star rating instead of one is because the screen works. As a result, I am content. But it took me a long time to fix it! br>br>The reason I should've given it a one-star rating is that I still needed to purchase three additional items:
- New tri- screwdriver with a pointed end ($5): Why? Because the one that came with it is flimsy and has the end cut off.
- New light sensor flex cable for the earspeaker ($12): Why? Because of the screwdriver that came with it, the screws that held this piece in place stripped, and you'll need this piece to install the new screen.
- $6 for new screws: Why? Why do you think that is? br>br>I gave it a four-star rating because the screen is functional and it saved me $200 in repair costs.
This is a fantastic LCD digitizer and touchscreen repair kit that I really like. For an LCD, the quality is excellent, and the price is extremely reasonable. I can barely tell them apart (see screenshot) because the color and sharpness are 95% as good as the OLED OEM screen. This kit also has excellent touch sensitivity and haptic feedback, unlike others I've used for the iPhone X. edge-to-edge There are no dead or glitchy sections from edge to edge or from top to bottom. I am very pleased with my purchase and would strongly suggest this kit. This was a little intimidating to do, but I watched the videos online and did it with my daughter (on her phone) as a project. It takes 12 minutes to watch the tutorial video. It took us a little more than an hour to walk slowly and carefully. I'm dressed in a three-piece outfit. If you're in that camp, I'd recommend a magnifying glass because it's difficult to see the parts/screws/etc. with focal glasses. Also, the screws are as small as dust specks. Except for a hairdryer (which is a common item in our area) and a stable magnifying glass (which I should get), the vendor provided everything you needed. You'll need every single screwdriver and other tool you can think of. It was extremely beneficial. br>br>It's something I'd strongly suggest. The most cost-effective method of repairing a shattered screen. Just be cautious and take it slowly.
