I'm curious as well because it's prone to breaking.
Yes, because this kit enables you to replace your old broken screen, which may have a few cracks or be completely broken. They provide a screen replacement as well as a tempered glass to ensure that your phone does not break again in the near future.
It's fine now.
I'd approach the owner of the defective screen and ask if he can send a replacement; if that works out, I'd ask if he could check all the screens ahead of time so the issue doesn't spread to other people.

After spending $130 three weeks ago to have my screen repaired and it breaking again, I'm so glad I decided to do it myself. I completed this project entirely on my own, and I must say that it was not nearly as difficult as I had anticipated. Just make sure to tuck the sensor part in when reinstalling the camera strip. I had to redo the front facing camera because it wouldn't turn on the first time I tested the screen; just take your time and be careful with the ribbons, and you'll be fine. I drew the nail placement on a sheet of paper and placed the screws there so I wouldn't mix them up.
In all my years of life, I have never broken a touchscreen, and it had to happen right around the time I was about to trade it in. I'm trading in my iPhone for a newer model. When I found out how much my trade-in was worth, I was ecstatic. When the value of my house dropped due to a broken screen, I decided to fix it myself. I like to think of myself as a technologically savvy individual. I'm a tech savvy guy who has always been able to solve any problems that have arisen. I decided to purchase this screen repair kit because it didn't seem like a bad idea. br>When I got the kit, I started disassembling my phone. I didn't have any major issues with the tools provided, though it took me a while to separate the old screen from the phone frame because the plastic spudger was a little too wide to fit in easily. After finally getting inside the phone, I began to notice that some of the smaller screws on the inside were proving difficult to unscrew. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the provided screwdriver I was using was becoming stripped! This was something I should've expected. I was able to unscrew everything and drop the new screen into place (very carefully). I double-checked all of the wires before plugging them in. I double-checked that they were properly seated, then turned on the phone to test everything before putting it back together. This is where things start to get exciting! br>br>I saw the Apple logo pop up right away. I was ecstatic when I saw it on my screen. It sat there for about 10 seconds, then vanished for a few moments. Then it turned back on again. Then it turned off again. So there I sat for about five minutes, waiting for my phone to decide whether or not it wanted to boot up. up to full capacity I forced it to shut down completely and then started it up again. Success! My phone was fully charged after about a minute. Whew! After about four days of using the new screen (I'll get into the quality in a minute), I was once again plagued. I let my phone battery die around 1 a. m. last night, which was a HUGE mistake to say the least, and when I plugged it in, I was greeted with the infinite start-up loop all over again. I went to bed angry because I left my phone on the charger. When I awoke this morning, all I saw was the start-up screen, so I went through the process of testing everything again. I disassembled my phone and double-checked that all of the cables were in place (which they were). I reassembled my phone and connected it to my computer via iTunes. My phone was not found by iTunes. I started attempting to force- I tried everything, including quitting like I had before and installing iTunes on a different computer. After a few hours of mischief, While my phone was deciding whether or not to turn on, I decided to sit down and write a review of this product. br>br>The screen quality is adequate if you can get past the fact that it may completely fry your phone if it is ever turned off. The colors aren't as vibrant as they once were, but for $30, who can complain? That was something I had anticipated. 3d Touch is hit-or-miss as well, but that could be due to the included screen protector. Although the tools provided were inexpensive, they did the job. In any case, do not purchase this screen. I had read the reviews ahead of time and had not expected anything like this to happen. What has resulted from such a simple and inexpensive fix has left me extremely disappointed. I'm hoping for a refund at the very least.
Get your money's worth. It's just a temporary fix to extend the time you can use your phone. br>The setup is difficult, but this is due to Apple's fault, not the screen. br>When it comes to quality, you get exactly what you pay for. The image isn't as good as the original screen, but you're only paying a fraction of the OEM price, and the glass is also softer, making it scratch and chip much more easily. In addition, I believe the touchscreen sensitivity and accuracy are lacking. br>What irritates me the most is that it can't be used with any screen protector because it becomes unresponsive, defeating the purpose of the "included screen protector" and shortening the screen's lifespan. br>I see it as a temporary solution until you can afford a new phone.
) installing the new screen was pretty easy and there were no issues.
The screen is decent in terms of lighting it might be 20 less bright than the br>br>The biggest problem I'm having with the screen is the touch response time, or the fact that some touches don't register at all. When I start typing quickly, about half of my presses go unnoticed, and it occasionally presses keys other than the one I want, as if the screen isn't calibrated properly. As if typing wasn't bad enough, fast-paced games that necessitate button spamming combos are impossible to play because half of your clicks will go unnoticed. br>br>Overall, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're looking for a quick fix or type slowly.
It is recommended that you watch YouTube videos on how to replace the screen, as stated in the instructions. I'm not particularly gifted in this area, but thanks to some excellent tools and the YouTube channel zacksjerryrig, I was able to repair my phone on my own. Patience and attention to detail are required, as previously stated. Make a note of the source of each screw. I arranged them all on a tray with labeled papers. Although not every screw in the same plate is the same size, if I can do it, so can you! I would strongly suggest it.
I have a bad habit of cracking the screen on my iPhone 7 Plus, so I've had it repaired before, which cost me around $170. I figured I could do it myself after watching a few videos, so I ordered a repair kit from here, and it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. All of the tools I needed were provided, and instructions were provided to help me along the way. As an added bonus, this screen performs even better than the replacement screen I received from the repair shop.
This product was both cheap and defective, and when I installed it, it completely fried my phone. I've replaced a lot of screens, so I know what I'm doing, and this is the first time something like this has happened to me. I'm now without a 350$ iPhone 7 plus, and I'm going to file a complaint because this company should be held liable for the damages caused by their defective product.
This was my first time replacing a screen, and it went smoothly. Although the instructions are adequate, watching a YouTube tutorial makes the process much easier. Because the screws are small and require different screwdrivers with different tips, I wouldn't recommend doing the repairs if you have bad eyesight. (Of course, everything is included) The company also offers a good warranty. If the previous one fails for any reason, they will send a replacement. If you're willing to put in some effort, you can save a lot of money this way.
