I was impressed by how well everything was organized when I first opened the package. When I removed the hardware, I noticed that something wasn't quite right. The screen was clearly not new, and it was a shoddy refurbished product, but it served its purpose. br>br>I went over the product page three times to make sure it wasn't something I overlooked, but the part was never mentioned as used/refurbished in my diss appointment, and it wasn't mentioned as new either. br>br>I decided to give it a try and was pleased to discover that it worked after completing the screen assembly. Unfortunately, I discovered another flaw during the assembly process. While the included screw drivers appeared to be color coded to match the included magnetic may, only the blue one matched the expected bit (pentalobe), the other two were supposed to be red (Philips) and yellow (triwing), but they were mustard (Philips) and pink (triwing), making the process difficult. br>br>After finishing everything and being satisfied with my work, I proceeded to remove the bubbling screen protector only to discover the screen was covered in a sticky smudgy mess; after a thorough cleaning with rubbing alcohol, the screen was anything but shiny; I then added the included screen protector after some basic polishing only to realize how thick it was: 1mm, which is unusually thick for a screen protector. OVERALL - br>br> The kit serves its purpose; it will complete the task; however, it is not a high-quality item.

The screen, camera, dust filter, speaker, and the home button that has been transferred for touch ID all work. Except for the screen's build quality, everything works as it should. It is made of plastic rather than glass, as was the case with the original screen. As a result, screen cleaning products will struggle to remove it. If your cloth is not 100% clean, it will leave annoying smudges. If you want a smoother screen, you can use the included screen protector.

Aside from the suction cup, that is. This kit was excellent value for money. Except for a good suction cup, I had everything I needed. The suction cup that came with it wasn't strong enough to lift the screen and insert a wedge or pick. I ended up using a razor blade after about 30 minutes of attempting to get past this first step. Fortunately, I was able to carefully navigate my way around this stumbling block. br>br>Hint: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov It appears that you should remove the plastic film and expose the adhesive substance before proceeding to the final steps of reassembling your iPhone. You can remove the middle section of the film and make all of your connections while the adhesive substance is protected if you have an exacto knife. Then, just before joining the front and back assemblies, expose the adhesive substance. It wasn't absolutely necessary, but it gave me a sense of security as I neared the finish line. Keep your cool and enjoy yourself. br>br> Godspeed (if not for grace, then for confession, intermittent prayers are very helpful).

I got the screen yesterday, and it took me an hour to put it together. Last night, it took me 5 hours to replace it. The process went smoothly thanks to the clear video instructions and magnetic pads that saved the screws. The most difficult part was removing the old screen, but with the help of a hairdryer and a sucker, it was a breeze. br>There are two other points I'd like to bring up: 1) The adhesive is smaller than it should be. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the adhesive is smaller than it should be. I had to apply the adhesive one side at a time, leaving gaps at each corner. As a result, the phone will not be watertight at all. 2) a protective screen. It's full size (larger than what I found elsewhere) and fairly thick, but my son doesn't like it because it slows down the touch screen response. As a result, I changed the screen protector I was using. On October 13th, 2021, there will be an update. After slipping from the trunk of an accord and landing on the ground, the phone's screen cracked. It not only broke the screen, but it also messed up the display; only about a quarter of the left side of the screen now displays anything. Because it was completely unusable, I replaced it with the original broken screen so that I could at least use it. br>I reduced the rating to two stars because the screen broke so easily and badly at such an inconvenient time. bad drop.

The installation was not difficult, but there were a lot of screws to remove. Each newer iPhone I work on seems to have more things you have to disconnect in the replacement process to get to your goal. The replacement screen appears to work fine, but it will freeze multiple times a day, requiring 20 seconds or more to come back to life, causing my wife a lot of frustration, so I may have to replace it with a screen from a different manufacturer. Because replacing the screen requires so many screws, the magnetic screw holder was a welcome addition to the kit. I learned the value of keeping track of which screws go where while using an iPhone 5S. One of the three screws on a three-screw cover plate was slightly shorter and could not be seen visually. Bluetooth wouldn't work because it was placed incorrectly. To find the shorter screw and place it in the right hole, I had to use a digital caliper to measure screws. The kit's suction cup is weak, as others have mentioned. I opened the phone with another one I had.
