This screen's unboxing was spectacular. Nice presentation, including an instruction manual, tools in their own fancy box, foam padding beneath and above the new screen, and a sturdy fancy cardboard box to hold it all. The screen went in quickly, but the supplied home button didn't work, so I transferred the old one over; I hadn't expected the home button to work in the first place. It came with the earpiece and camera installed, which is why I paid more for this package because it saved me time, as well as a screen protector to apply after removing the plastic film from the new screen. Good buy.

With a little help from YouTube, it's a simple install. As part of the installation, replace the home button. With a little help from me, I had my 11-year-old daughter do the majority of the work. A good project for kids and parents, as well as a teachable moment to demonstrate how simple even seemingly complicated projects can be.

5 stars. The picture quality is acceptable, about as good as an aftermarket screen can get. It has a nice brightness and OEM feel to it, but there are some light distortions around the edges due to uneven glueing when the LCD was attached to the new digitizer. However, this is to be expected. As a result, I'll deduct only half a star. The full star is deducted due to poor assembly. A flex cable was hidden beneath the back plate, which isn't good; it was probably a rookie worker's mistake, but it's something that should be addressed in a review. However, it was an easy fix. Remove the backplate, reposition the cable if it appears to be out of place, and you should be good to go. Oh, and don't forget to use your original home button on this new screen if you have one. Touch ID will not work if you don't do so. Overall, it's a good screen for the money, and you won't be ripped off.

Within a week, this thing started having issues, but I assumed it was due to an incorrectly seated connector. I re- The connectors were checked, but the issue persisted. I took the phone apart and put it back together again. The old cracked screen was replaced with a working one. Everything went smoothly, so I re-installed the program. The problems persisted even after I replaced the screen. It is impossible to obtain warranty service from the seller. They don't respond at all. Another example of Amazon sellers selling low-cost Chinese junk.
