Questions & Answers

How big is the diaphragm on this mic? The only thing I know about my son is that his dream is to be a rapper. ?

I believe this is a condenser microphone with a large diaphragm. Fig. 1 A closeup of a 'large diaphragm', which is the circular surface behind a mesh screen in a microphone. If the surface of a circle is large, it is larger than one that is small. instruments, etc. near a microphone, there is a vibration between your voice and the diaphragm that generates the electrical signal that is transferred through the mic into the recording device or the PA system (if you are performing live). Even though condenser mics are most commonly used in the studio, dynamic mics are the microphones of choice for live performances, due to condenser mics' sensitivity to loud sounds. In addition, live performances are also available). You can relate clarity, volume, EQ, and other aspects of signal quality to the size of the diaphragm (in this case large). The Large Diaphragm Microphone (LDM) is the mic of choice for studio vocals, as well as recordings of instruments that require a more "deep" sound. It is also true that large diaphragm microphones tend to warm up the sound of what they're recording, which also contradicts the myth that small diaphragm microphones accurately reproduce the low frequencies There is no truth to this, in fact small diaphragm mics reproduce everything equally, including bass, better than large diaphragm mics. If you're using a condenser microphone for vocals, then you need a pop screen Your "P" and "SH" sounds will distort the system because they are so sensitive to transient noise. Mics with small diaphragms (SDMs) generally provide you with the best sound for either a big frequency response or the best transient response, which involves the ability to reproduce fast sounds like those made by string The SDM is also the preferred choice for recording concerts. Thanks for reading and I hope it

A review alone cannot tell you what to expect. I see no reason in shelling out the extra 144 for this mic when you can go with Can you really tell a difference in quality?

A different world altogether (so much better)

This would be useful for voice acting, right? Also, how can you record using such a system if that is the case?

If you're recording voice acting, you can use this. You should record from home, especially if you have access to a recording studio. In addition to a microphone, you will need an audio interface to record your sound. I suggest you take a look at the Rode NT1, which is the latest It doesn't matter which mic you choose, they are both great. Both of them belong to me.

Do you have a microphone if all you want is Is that something I can just pay for?

There is still a way to do it, but only in the NT1 and NT1000. The clip and dust cover still come with the device, but the shock mount and cable do not. It's called the RODE NT1 no more At the end, we will have the KIT.

As soon as all the pieces were in place, the system worked beautifully

My purpose in buying this is to record audiobooks, so I cannot comment on the quality of music - These qualities have specific characteristics. In the absence of any experience with recording equipment, I ended up having to order this equipment multiple times before I could begin using it. It is best to connect a mic stand to a desk or computer if you record on a desk. You may also need a mixer to connect to your In addition, I ended up having to build myself what I affectionately refer to as my "padded cell" to record inside. The mic picked up echoes like crazy, but I guess that's to be expected when using something so sensitive. This microphone has great sound quality and professional sound, so that's all that matters. Even with all the extra add-ons, it's still a.

This mic offers far greater value for your money than more expensive counterparts

Rode NT1-B has recently been purchased by me The purpose of this test is to test the sound quality of my Sennheiser MK-80 The studio I have is broadcast quality and I'm a professional voice actor. I also live 10 minutes from LAX, so even with a well-lit transport system I would have trouble getting to the If you are recording in an air traffic controlled studio, this could cause problems. Attempting to alleviate the problem, I wanted to compare the Rode's final sound with the Sennheiser's and see how its background noise reduction works. The following are some of the things I agree - Sennheiser MK-80, an advanced digital microphone I found the 416 to have the most clear, warm, and quiet background noise when positioned properly (it's a directional / shotgun mic, so placement is much more important than with a cardioid mic like It is known as the Rode NT1 The truth is, however, that A was not too far off. There were a few tones when the sound was sharper, but the sound was overall Even though the background noise was slightly louder than the Sennheiser, it was still reduced significantly If we look at the spectral images, however, there are virtually no higher frequencies to be found. I agree - It costs $1,000 on its own to purchase a Sennheiser microphone. There is an entire package of add-ons available for the Rode that costs $215. While the Rode NT1-D is a decent device, it doesn't offer much beyond that Having an A isn't quite on par with having a top-notch The Sennheiser MK3 is a great high-end mic There's only a couple points between 416 and 417 - With such a great price/quality ratio, it is without a doubt the best performer I've ever seen as far as microphones go it offers a surprisingly high level of quality at a fraction of the cost. I will continue to use my Sennheiser mic for quite a while, but I recommend anyone looking for a great mic to use until you're ready to switch to a more expensive one to stick with the Sennheiser. There are three tiers of Rode NT1's to try One of the best bang for the buck As a result- It's your turn- By far, this is the best "bang for your buck" microphone I've found, and one that is certainly good enough for professional voice-over I give it five stars without a doubt.

I worked for a while and then failed
3/5

The first time I used this microphone, I was in love. A great signal was picked up, and the sound was clear and crisp. Nevertheless, I hadn't used it and it had been sitting for a few weeks in a controlled space. The next time I use it, it does not work. The detector picked up faint vibrations, but my speech failed to be detected until I was squeezed at the point where only my voice should be detected. It seems that this design is short in some way. You did a bad job! There seems to be some kind of knock on the door Likewise, I have been off. I was too late for my return window at this point, or else I would have returned the product. As a result, I tested my interface and cables with another microphone, they all worked fine. I do not recommend the purchase of this microphone because it is poorly made and not worth the price. The good press is making me sad because everyone is saying this is a good idea. There is a BIG problem with this microphone, it clearly is not a well constructed microphone. The product should last for at least two years The use of. I have never been abused and I have been handled gently. It is unacceptable to fail in such a way. Having worked with electronics for the past few years, I am accustomed to handling such equipment, so for something to randomly fail all of the sudden is a manufacturing fault. I am very.

My day job is to be a CIO at a startup, which means that I wear many hats as the company builds. In my role as a product manager, one of those hats includes creating professional quality help videos for our products. After struggling with several cheap mics for awhile and using Adobe Audition to remove background noise, I dove into some research and settled on the Rode NT1-HD. I'm using the NT1-SGH. I was disappointed with the quality of the audio, and the production time was not all that effective.

I am using the NT1-SGH. I'm using Windows 10, Adobe Audition CC and Adobe Premiere CC with an AudioBox USB. As for the mic, it's set up in a walk-in closet full of clothes, which provides a lot of sound dampening without any of the cost or hassle of a sound booth, and I run it either using AC power or through an external power supply If I wanted to use my 7 Core HD monitor, I could use a wireless keyboard and mouse with a 25 Then I connect my laptop to an HDMI port to manage my sessions. Below is an image that you can see. This means that there is no longer any need to apply any effects or to remove any background noise Neither hum nor hiss can be heard in the background due to the fact that I have isolated properly from the noise caused by If you haven't watched the short videos that come on the Studio Tips DVD that comes with the mic, I highly recommend doing so. Knowing how the cardioid polar pickup pattern affects the tone of a microphone and how it can be altered depending on the microphone's rotation is invaluable knowledge, among other tips and tricks.

It does not matter what the microphone used to be. There was nothing to like about it. Having eyed this mic for some time now, I decided to take the plunge. In doing the research, I put in a lot of time. It is hands down the best microphone you can buy for the money. The music is wonderful. sound of it because it brings a warm feeling to the room. My work is not for you to take for granted. Pull-up mics with prices between $700 and $1000 A range between 1200 and 1800. The numbers will all show up, and then the microphone will be retrieved. There's no doubt about it. Despite its high retail price, this mic is worth much more than its retail price. Purchasing the property was straightforward, both from the seller and from the buyer. There's nothing worse than waiting for what you want! I appreciate your help!.

A very good mic at an excellent price
5/5

Originally, I bought this to replace an old AT mic that I bought, in the hopes that it would aid me with my narration work. Prior to purchasing the mic, I read many of the other reviews and checked out a dozen other ones. Well, I am sure glad I did that. Those who are new to vocal recording and would like to start out with a good microphone kit should strongly consider this kit. In light of the reasonably priced nature of the product, I am very satisfied with the quality of this microphone.
