It isn't a case of no. This book has a specific number of plastic sleeves available for pages to be placed Each insert may be used only in its front face, or it may also be used in its back face. My product itself was fine. In fact, I ordered a few versions of a portfolio and returned the ones that did not meet my precise needs and tastes. This was one of those I can't believe how confusing the return directions were and the costs of returning were astronomical! They are clearly a separate company from Amazon, even though they advertise on Amazon. I highly recommend that you pay attention when ordering from them as the return process will annoy you to no end. There is definite need to make them more user friendly. Furthermore, Amazon needs to do a better job marketing which vendors have different return policies. My review was lowered by two stars because my return experience was bad and expensive. This company will not be a source of future purchases for me.
In comparison to the others, The Advantage stands out. Moreover, the plastic pages are crystal clear so that you can see the photos clearly. No worries about the covers cracking or breaking either! As for the other Itoya books, I would second the Evolution line since it is lighter and slightly less clear, as the plastic pages are somewhat thinner. *The Original is also a very nice book, the cover is thick and sturdy, but not as thick as the Advantage and the pages are thin and foggy. However, one negative of The Original is that the crystal clear pages aren't included.
It looks like the cases are in good shape. While the artwork paper is dulled a little, it still exhibits good transparency. It is very difficult to get a normal 8 in these stiff cases because very little extra wiggle room exists. This is a newer version, with an inside size of 5 x 11 inches. I have some older models from a decade ago that I prefer, but my oldest one is torn, so I grabbed this one instead. Compared to the new models, I prefer the older ones. My portfolios have strong and attractive cover material. I use them to hold 8 1/2 x 11 photographs in high quality. As a result of their light weight but sturdy covers, they are sturdy. I use this album for antique prints that need archival sleeves because it is the best that I have used so far. I am blown away by the quality of the plastic used in these albums. Even minute details like what is on artwork, photos, prints, etc. remain sharp and clear. The albums themselves are durable and give a professional look to the work they hold. I could not.
There may be only one remaining photographer who prints his or her work, but I love to get mine printed. My books allow me to share image sequences and share them in a way that is light years above using a cell phone to do so. There is no doubt that printing is in the midst of a golden age in terms of convenience, color, contrast, and durability. Don't you want to take advantage of this?.
