There are some differences between the new version ("China 03") and the old version bought this as a complement to a previous Itoya ArtProfolio Expo 8 about 6 years ago

It was around 2003 when I purchased this 5x11. It is the same model number, but it is of a different quality. Please take into account these differences if you are contemplating purchasing the current model (labeled "China 03") and still have an old Itoya lying around (labeled "China 02") There is no longer a leather cover, instead there's a smooth plastic one. This new product has the same feel as milk cartons. As I have a gallon of milk in the fridge, this product is visibly smooth. An older version of the phone had a much textured plastic surface. Comparing it to running your hand across an orange would be like comparing that carton of milk to your hand running across a carton of milk. The result is that it looks cheaper and is more likely to curl. Folding is only one of the basic folding operations. As a result, the spine of this model is not as firm as it once was. In addition to being a lighter and more neutral black, the new matting paper feels nicer to the touch.

Portfolio of the Itoya Group

It would actually be nice to use this portfolio as a comparison book when comparing paper types, and that is what I intend to do. Additionally, it is nice to be able to package images for clients, or to build a portfolio in general, without worrying about degradation of images solely because of their storage.

In terms of what it is, it is good

It was very quick and the portfolios were in good shape when they arrived. There is one thing I didn't like in the item description, which does not mention the type of material the portfolio is made from - It is very lightweight, but its outside is made of leather or plastic, something I imagined, rather than the thin plastic. Even though it works as intended, I would not have chosen it if I had known what the exterior was made.
