Questions & Answers

This one is painted flat charcoal, unlike all of my other genuine Canon Lens Hoods, which have a black felt like material inside? Did they make any changes to the designs?

The felt shades are made for the stm lenses, while the shades without the felt are made for the stm lenses. Are still manufactured, but only for good metal mount lenses, not for plastic mount lenses.

Is there a difference in size between this and ew-? 73b? My 18-year-old daughter can also wear it. Perfect score of 135 points. Will it be effective at longer focal lengths as well?

Overall, I believe it is smaller. I strongly advise against using anything other than the lens's intended hood, as they are designed to work with the size and shape of the front elements. The 18- Lens Hood EW- is used on the 135mm. 73D. I would suggest a promaster, which is less expensive than the Canon version. All of it is made of plastic.

Will this be able to be used with the EF 35mm lens?

All four corners of the image have vignetting applied to them
3/5

Despite the fact that this lens hood was created specifically for Canon's 10-stop zoom lens, it can be used with any Canon lens. When shooting at 10mm with an 18mm zoom lens, vignetting can be seen in all four corners. You'd think Canon would design the hood in such a way as to avoid this. br> Vignetting can be a problem with wide angle lenses, but at 25mm, it's no longer an issue. I would have expected perfection for a 00 dollar camera; perhaps the crop sensor is to blame, but in any case, it will spend the majority of its time in my gear bag.

Canon lens hood for a 10-millimeter focal length
5/5

The focal length is 18mm. This lens hood does exactly what it should--it protects your lens. and because it's made especially for my Canon 10-megapixel camera, There was no way of knowing if the 18mm lens would work or not. This lens hood provides no veetting even at 10mm. It is constructed from high-quality plastic. It's not felt-lined like some of the more expensive "L" lens hoods, but that's okay; it twists and clicks into place. There is no such thing as a "button" release. The interface is extremely user-friendly. If you have a Canon 10-megapixel camera, I recommend using this lens hood. 18mm if you want to reduce unwanted lens flare.

It's perfect and lasts a long time
5/5

I chose the Canon brand because I'd read that the aftermarket brand didn't hold up well. I'm relieved to finally have a lens hood to protect my lens from a mishap. Because I go hiking frequently, I've had my lens collide with a tree. You can also put it in your bag by flipping it over.

A must-have for photographers, as well as a low-cost insurance policy
5/5

When I see photographers with expensive lenses who don't use lens shades, it makes me cringe. Lens hoods not only reduce lens flare, but also serve as a cushion in the event that the camera is dropped. This is what happened to me, and it prompted me to purchase this. The lens hood cracked as a result of the impact, but the lens itself remained unharmed. This is a genuine Canon product that is in excellent condition.

That's exactly what I needed! I had an off-kilter idea when I first started
5/5

For my Canon 10-megapixel camera, I needed a brand hood. I didn't like the 18mm lens because you couldn't store it backwards and it fit inside the lens rather than over it. This Canon hood accomplishes exactly what I was looking for in a hood: it stores backwards on the lens and stays in place with the lens cap on. Don't waste your money on knockoffs; instead, buy this. You will not be sorry!.

Well, I finally gave up on the less expensive lens hoods and purchased a genuine Canon hood
5/5

It's never easy to bite the bullet and not opt for one of the many cheap knockoffs on the market. After battling with cheap screw-on hoods that didn't fit or cross-over hoods that didn't fit, I decided to make my own. My lens is threaded, the well-known well-known well-known well-known well Bayonet-style bayonet-style bayonet-style bayonet-style bayonet-style My personal preference is for a style lens hood.

The only drawback is the cost; Canon OEM lens covers aren't cheap, but they're well made and fit perfectly, as you'd expect
5/5

Aftermarket lens hoods are less than half the price, and I wouldn't blame anyone for going this route if money is tight. In my opinion, you will get a lot of use out of the product, so saving $10-$20 is a good investment. The amount of money isn't all that important. Except for the price, I can strongly recommend this product.
