Hello, this CPL filter will work with the A129 PRO without a problem. Anna BlackboxMyCar, thank you for your help.
When it comes to the viewing angle, there is no vignetting or blockage of any kind. It simply eliminates some of the dashboard reflections from below as well as side-on sun glare.
The non-slip surface on the new A119 and A119S is thicker and more angled. Mount for your GPS. That is the most appropriate mount to use. It is not necessary to use a GPS mount; however, thickeningsssssssssssssssssssssssssss
This is used by the factory to determine which side of the glass is forwarded and which side is back; unfortunately, it has nothing to do with rotation. These are already prepared for you. They are calibrated and do not require any movement.

but. On the product's own, it does what it says it will and reduces glare and reflections. I say "cuts down" because the reflections aren't completely gone, but it's a noticeable improvement that's good enough. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the price: $15 seems a little high for what you get, especially since it doesn't eliminate reflections. And if you want to go dual channel, it'll cost you $30. That is on top of the original purchase price. In my opinion, these should be included with the camera or permanently part of the lens assembly on the camera. In most situations, you can't afford not to have one on your camera, in my opinion.
At least in my car, this is a must-have accessory for the Viofo A119. The filter I received was not properly adjusted, didn't appear to do anything other than wash out the colors, and came with no instructions. I found online discussions and suggestions for adjusting it, and rotating it to a 45 degree angle (it was delivered at 0 degrees/horizontally) helped a lot. I'm not sure if 45 degrees is the proper orientation (did I mention there were no instructions?). ), but based on trial and error, it appears to be about as good as it will get. It doesn't remove all dashboard reflections, probably only 50%, but it is still a significant improvement over the bare camera. It would be beneficial if the filter lens were slightly larger to make it easier to rotate through the slots without touching or removing it, if it had some kind of calibration mark (mine does not), and it would be extremely beneficial if it came with instructions. Of course, having it pre-configured and ready to use would be an added bonus. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: OCD Tronic contacted me directly and explained how a batch of filters had been incorrectly adjusted at the factory, as well as providing a link to a page that detailed how to calibrate the filter. They also offered to send me a replacement if I didn't feel comfortable calibrating the filter I had received (which was very simple). I've changed my rating because the filter fits perfectly, performs as well as can be expected when properly calibrated, and OCD Tronic's customer service is outstanding. I'd buy from OCD Tronic again, and I'd recommend the VIOFO A11CPL filter to others.
When I received this lens, I discovered that it was too big for my camera. In the last month and a half, I must have fallen off at least a dozen times. After getting tired of it, I decided to contact the seller. br>While moving the camera into the house in AZ, the lens fell off yet again. I couldn't find it at first and forgot to look again before leaving. br>This item has a lot of flaws in terms of quality control. br>I haven't looked at the recordings since it fell off the last time, and I'm hoping I won't miss it. I regret the money I wasted on that garbage. br>PAY ATTENTION - The manufacturer has not responded to any of the reviews claiming that the lenses are loose. They should be embarrassed by their actions.
For the A119, this is a fantastic filter. No tools are required for installation, and the footage is immediately free of distracting reflections. My lens was correctly configured when I received it from the factory, but it may have rotated during shipping. CPL filters can only function properly if they are rotated to the proper angle, so double-check yours before installing. br>br>Park your car in a sunny area and place a piece of white paper on your dashboard to ensure your filter is rotated to the proper angle. You should be able to see the white sheet reflected on the windshield using the camera screen. Line up the notches on the filter and the camera before placing it over the lens. Check to see if the paper's reflection has vanished. You're good to go if the reflection goes away. If this is not the case, remove the filter and rotate the CPL filter 45 degrees gently. Repeat the test until the paper's reflection on the camera display is no longer visible.
It works to some extent, but not particularly well. It cuts like 5% of the glare from the dash camera, but driving directly into the setting sun the camera just doesn't compensate for the washout and this product doesn' Maybe my dash camera isn't working right, but this should help reduce glare. My polarized sunglasses cut a lot more glare than this and in theory it should cut close to 50% glare based on the principles of how polarized lenses affect light waves based.
As a result, I purchased two of them. The front camera appears to have a higher picture/video quality. There is no longer any glare from the front windshield. br>br>However, it's a different story with the rear camera. I had no idea that if your windows are tinted, this filter will not work. The rear window of my car has 20% tint. When I use the filter on my camera, it adds a rainbow effect to the photo or video. I'll just have to make do with what I've got, and the filter will be kept as a backup.
I bought this to "solve" a problem I didn't realize I had: getting perfect images with my Viofo camera all of the time. The filter only has a smidgeon of an attachment; Adjust the lens if possible. Isn't that what it's all about? The filter is no longer functional. Thank you, Amazon, for a fantastic dash cam. Filter? a little bit.
The picture quality of the Viofo A119 Pro is just that much better because the reflections from the windshield aren't 100% removed, but still heavily reduced by this. The most noticeable difference is that the image is no longer washed out and is much more clear in bright sunlight. The lens attaches to the camera from the side and clicks into place using two small nubs that fit into the A119's grooves. Others have claimed that the lens falls off, but I'm not sure how that's possible given how difficult it is to get the lens off in the first place. I guess it'll come down to time. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the price; the box the unit comes in is beautiful, but it cost more to make than the lens attachment itself.
