Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
This black soft 1/4 filter can help to soften wrinkles, freckles, and pores on the face, making it look more delicate, plump, and beautiful. The hazy film effect can be better realized, resulting in a dreamily film effect; to ensure ultra-high definition image quality within a 550mm focal length, a double polishing process is used. It's worth reconsidering its use in videography.
The glass filter is coated with high-tech film after it has been optically ground. Waterproof, oil-resistant, and scratch-resistant. It has the appearance of hard scraping but has no effect on image quality. Even if there are water droplets or oil on it, it can be easily removed and cleaned.
The frame is only 3.25 inches wide because it is made of Aviation grade aluminum. On wide angle and long focal lenses, the 3mm ultra slim frame eliminates dark corners and vignetting. The CNC system creates a beautiful curve on the frame, as well as additional friction and antiskid properties.

Questions & Answers

Is there a front thread on this filter that can be used to stack more filters on top of it?

Hi, this filter has threading on both sides so you can add more filters on top of it. If you don't mind vignetting in telephoto and wide-angle lenses, you can add both NDs and CPLs.

What is the diameter of the outer ring so that I can buy a cpl filter to put on top of it?

Hello, this filter can be screwed on to other filters of the same size, for example, an 82mm black mist 1/4 filter can be screwed on to an 82mm cpl filter.

Is there a distinction between k and k?

Hello, my name is the black diffuison. Because the word "Mist" has been registered as a trademark by another company in the United States, we couldn't use it on Amazon in the United States, so we substituted "Black Diffusion."

If my lens is 75-mm, what lens size should I get? 300mm?

Hello, if your lens is a Canon EF 75-200mm, I'd like to offer you some advice. f/4 300mm- 6 III, we discovered that the lens size is 58mm; you can confirm this by looking at the "" (diameter) symbol on your lens; if the number is 58mm, simply order a 58mm filter. If this number is not available, simply order the same number filter size. We hope this information is useful to you, and we thank you for your time.

On white surfaces and fabrics, be wary of the bluish halation
3/5

So I decided to buy this to save money over the tiffen black pro mist, cinebloom, and other diffusing filters that have been all the rage in the 2020-2020 decade. 2021 This is the k The f filter is a knockoff from China; it's cheaper on ali or ebay, but this item should be avoided at all costs unless you're shooting on a non-white surface. If you use a colored light source, you should be fine; however, anything neutral in the outdoors, such as your client or bride wearing white fabric, will result in a blue-tinged effect. Halation that is purplish in color. This appears to be amplified by the lens and camera you're using - In a Canon 85 1, it appears. 8 and 5dm4 lenses, but not in Sony a73 or Sigma lenses. Keep in mind that this blue halation can be removed in post, but only at a cost. It'll be difficult to remove in video, but it'll only take a few clicks in Lightroom. You have been issued a forewarning.

(and other black mist filters) aren't what you'd expect
3/5

This has a very poor MRC coating; Reflections caused a lot of flare and haze, which is particularly difficult with a mist filter; You can't increase the contrast as much as you normally would because it ruins the mist effect, as you can see in the top right corner of my attached photo, where the tree meets the sky. Moreover, the mist effect is unlike any other black mist filter I've tried, and not in a good way. Even in the 1/4 filter, the suspended particles are much larger and more visible. In practice, this gave me a less appealing bloom effect than the Hoya and Tiffen filters I'd used previously. I believe the haze is caused by the larger particles, which cause a lot more refraction. br>br>They're not unusable for the price, but I'd rather pay a little more for a Tiffen or Hoya model.

It was well worth it
5/5

So far, everything has gone well. It adds just enough haze to portraits to make them look stylish. It doesn't seem to add much, and the image is still fairly sharp. br>br>Below is a test shot I took of a friend in direct sunlight with a star filter and an ND filter (see below).

This is a subtle but incredible effect!   I knew I needed this lens filter as soon as I heard about it
5/5

I've spent a lot of time in photo editing programs trying to achieve a mediocre hazy/soft effect, but this filter is exactly what I've been looking for to streamline my photography workflow. It's the ideal filter for achieving that dreamy film effect!br>The top photo was taken without the filter, while the bottom photo was taken a split second later with the filter. It gives the photos a lovely softness and warmth!.

Although it is not bad, I prefer the Black Pro Mist
4/5

The Olympus OM-D E-M1 is the camera that I use. D E- A Micro 4/3 camera, the M1 Mark II. As a result, the lenses are small, and there is less glass to cover, resulting in extremely low prices for these filters. As a result, I purchased both the K and the K. F Concept's 58mm Black Soft Filter 1/4, as well as the infamous Black Pro-Filter Filter a quarter of a gallon of water with 1/4 of a gallon It's all personal preference, but I prefer the Tiffen black pro mist's appearance. The letter K stands for The F setting is a little too bloomy, and the image loses a lot of contrast, so the K setting is the best option. The Tiffen, on the other hand, is more balanced, with less bloom and higher contrast, making it ideal for daily use. br>br>Given this K's low price, it's a no-brainer. I'm going to keep the F filter. But, if I had to choose, the Tiffen Black Pro Mist filter would be my first choice.

Film in a flash! The cinema is represented by this filter
5/5

It's the ideal strength for video and photography, though the 1/8 might be preferable for regular client work. It's an experience in and of itself to watch footage shot with this filter. The retention of high-quality employees is excellent. My only regret is that I did not purchase the 82mm to avoid having to purchase two. This is something I would recommend to anyone looking for a "cinematic look. " It's all over now. This is a movie theater.

Autofocus is occasionally messed up by it
4/5

While it's a great misty filter, I occasionally see black dots in my photos even after cleaning the lens, glass, and sensor, so I know it's the filter. As my camera tries to focus on the spots on the filter, it frequently causes autofocus issues. When everything is working properly, it's a fantastic filter that produces some cool-looking diffused photos.

For a softer, dreamier look, use a soft filter
5/5

Filter is of excellent quality, comparable to that of higher-priced brands. It has the look of a black pro mist. Softens the look of things and adds a halo to the lights. The he 1/4 is sufficient, but I'd like to try the more powerful versions as well.
