Will a scanner that scans all layers detect my phone if I put it inside the case?

It's difficult to say, but my bag was manually checked as I passed through security. I kept the case in my bag, empty. The inspector informed me that they were unable to see through the case. So far, only anecdotal evidence has been provided.

Is it possible to carry vitamin bottles in this bag?

Yes, absolutely! It's the same material used by NASA, Space X, and even Jeff Bezos, and it's rated to protect 470bq, so as long as the instrument you put inside it is below that level, it should be fine. I also know three people who use these bags instead of tin foil hats to keep the government from listening in on their private conversations.

It's a crazy test, but it works!   This Domke film protector bag was purchased for an unusual purpose: to store a collectible Bauer Pottery piece from the 1930s, 1940s, or 1950s that has an unusually-shaped rim

Its glaze contains a lot of uranium, which gives it a burnt orange color. Check out the video to see how much the Domke storage bag reduces radiation levels when tested with a Geiger counter. BR>BR>IT WORKS! BR>BR>IT WORKS! BR>BR>IT WORKS! br>br>It's also extremely well-made. . . br>br>Background Story: When my daughter was in seventh grade, I assisted her with a science experiment. We looked at everyday items like bananas, iodized salt, and granite countertops, as well as collectibles like "uranium glass" (green glass) cups and plates, Fiestaware, and Bauer Pottery, for the small amount of radiation they might contain. The Bauer Pottery burnt orange glazed plate tested off the charts, while the Fiestaware received a medium CPM (clicks per minute) radiation count.

“Fiesta red” Fiestaware (the burnt orange color) had uranium in the From 1959 to 1969, it was referred to as "depleted uranium" (still radioactive) and was used in some of their products until 1973, according to our research. Important: br>br>Instructions: br>br>Instructions: br>Instructions: Any *modern* Fiestaware is completely safe, as the glaze contains no uranium. Only the "Fiesta red" (burn orange) glaze has higher uranium levels in vintage Fiestaware (though it's still a fraction of the Bauer CPM levels we were seeing). According to what we've read, the "Fiesta yellow" glaze *might* contain some radioactivity, but only the "red" glaze appeared to have elevated levels in our tests of vintage Fiestaware. br>br>In her science report, Lucy discovered that none of the household items (bananas, for example) tested significantly higher than typical background radiation levels in our homes. The level of uranium glass has increased slightly. Bauer was quite high, as you can see in our video, and the "red" Fiestaware was even higher! Our Conclusions: br>br> If you were more than 24 inches away from any of the items we tested, including the Bauer, they would be perfectly safe to have on a shelf or in a collectibles display. Lucy and I, on the other hand, agreed that we wouldn't want this Bauer plate in a display cabinet, let alone eat off of it, or sleep with it under our pillow! ))br>br>While none of this has anything to do with Domke storage products, it should demonstrate how the storage bag is likely to perform as intended in protecting photographic film from X-rays. rays!.

A lead-based substance was most likely not picked up by x-ray machines. a bag with a lining that goes all the way through the carry-on on the scanners Is this bag, therefore, lead-free? Is it properly lined? I'm not sure, but it feels a lot like that. Only four packs of instax fuji WIDE films fit in the medium-sized bag. I didn't take any particularly sharp photos, but that could be due to the camera's quality.

It worked reasonably well, though I was stopped and searched at each airport because their xray machines couldn't see into it:.

Very good quality. It worked flawlessly during my trip to New Zealand; I was able to bring 10 rolls of medium format film with me for the duration of my trip, and it performed flawlessly.

So I'm not sure if this was of any assistance
4/5

So I'm not sure if this was of any assistance. When I travel, I'd like to run a series of tests to see if it makes a difference, but I've already gone through about 6 different x-ray machines. I didn't notice any fogging on my photos when I used this at airports. I'm not sure if this was designed for x-ray walkthroughs or not. It didn't seem to work as well as x-ray machines or airport baggage machines (TSA), but it seemed to get the job done. I'm a little skeptical, but I don't have any proof that it doesn't work, and I don't have any strong evidence that it does.

It's easy to understand and implement
4/5

I've seen some other lead-lined bags in camera stores, but they were ridiculously expensive and heavy. This bag is substantial in weight but not excessively so. It can hold a number of rolls of film. I filled it with eight rolls, but it could probably take a few more. It's essential if you're traveling with undeveloped or unprocessed film. Plus, Amazon's (and Adorama's) prices are significantly lower than those I found in camera stores.
