Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this with a Nikon D7100 and a Sigma 150-600mm lens? A sport lens with a focal length of 600 millimeters?

My D4s and Nikkor 200-mm f/2.8 lenses have the following dimensions: The D7100 and the Sigma 150-500 are very similar in size. 600 (3. 6" + 10. 53" vs. 3" + 10. 2 inches, respectively). My 200-pound bag will fit in this Ape case. I can either carry the 500 on its own with the lens hood attached, or I can attach it to my D4s - with the lens hood reversed (in storage mode) The outside latch must be loosened slightly with the camera attached and the lens hood reversed, and the flap on top of the case will be extremely tight. However, it is a good fit and secure. The case's only flaw is that it lacks attachment points. There are no pockets or loops on the outside, and there are no points. In addition, carrying the case cross-body is a breeze. shoulder-to-shoulder with the D4s and 200-pounders It has a diameter of 500mm. I hope this has been of assistance.

I use a Tamron 17-mm lens. With the hood, the lens is 50mm in diameter. Is it going to fit in here?

I'm not sure how large your lens is, but this case is fairly compact. I have a Nikon 50mm prime lens with hood that fits perfectly. I have to insert the lens without the lens hood (lens side down) and then place the hood over the top of the end of the lens that fits into the camera. The case is nice, but it isn't very spacious.

For the Tameron 150-mm, Ape Case ACPROLC18 or 16 is recommended. Is that a 600mm lens? Can someone please explain which bag does what, which bag has the lens hood on and which bag has the lens hood off, and which bag has the lens hood on and which bag has the lens hood off, 18 or 16 ?

Hello Gary, I purchased the 18 and it is compatible with my Tamron 150-mm lens. Using a 600mm lens with the lens hood on - with ease Any smaller, I believe, would be uncomfortable. If I'm bouncing around in a 4WD, it also gives me enough space to add more padding. Regards - br> David Trembath is a British actor.

Will this case fit my Canon EF 70-200mm Zoom Lens? 200mm 1: 4 L?

I don't own any "L" lenses, so I'm not sure if it would work. My usual 70-point rating A Medium Ape Case can hold a 300mm zoom lens. Ellen P.

Excellent quality, but the price has increased dramatically! Excellent case with plenty of space and length for a Nikkor 200-mm lens
5/5

Despite the lens hood, the focal length is 500mm. br>br>Only issue now is that it was only $22 when I purchased it only 2 weeks ago. They're now $39 each. What is the significance of the abrupt change? br>br>It's still worth the extra money because it's a really well-made camera. br>br>Here are three photos for fitting and size reference; this is a D7200 with battery pack and 200-mm lens. Attached is a 500mm Nikkor lens with the hood reversed. This lens adds 11" to the total length of the lens, bringing the total length to 13. The distance between the lens cap and the back of the camera is 75 inches. The diameter of the lens hood is 6 inches. This outfit fits perfectly, is secure but not too tight, and is easy to put on and take off. The lens can also be stored without the lens hood (unreversed) in the case.

It fits! It fits! Nikon 200-megapixel camera With the hood reversed, it measures 500mm
5/5

Finally, after attempting several lower-cost but well-designed lens cases on Amazon, the Ape Case fully fits the Nikon 200-400mm lens. 500mm f5. There are six super telephoto lenses in total. The size of the other brands was insufficient. They had nice handles, zippers, pouches, and so on, but none of them could carry all of the Nikon 200-series attachments. 500 lens. br>I've always been wary of Ape Case camera bag designs, and I still have some reservations about this lens case. But, in the end, this Ape Case fits my difficult-to-fit lens at a reasonable price, as opposed to two other brands that cost $20 to $110 more. However, I am no longer required to search. br>br>Things I like: Nikon 200- The 500mm lens has a reversed lens hood and a smooth lens collar/foot that slides in and out. (Because it's nearly square, it can handle the lens foot that circular cases can't! )br> There is a lot of padding on the bottom and sides. br> br> br> br> br> br> (However, because it is so large, it can be used as a carry handle or attached to a camera bag or backpack. ) )br> Interior is bright yellow, allowing you to see what's inside. br> Shoulder strap is nicely padded. What could be better: br>br>
- The buckle is required to secure the top flap. The twin zippers are unzipped by pulling on the flap, allowing quick access to the lens. (Catchphrase) For added security, a loop should be added. )
- The buckle is not intuitive; you press down on the buckle's face, which can come undone if you hit something. (All traditional buckles apply pressure from the sides. ) )
- To close the case, pull the top flap forward and gently pull on the strap that connects the twin zippers. (A standard flip top with a single zipper is preferable. ) )
- Because the top carry handle/strap is too narrow, it can only be used with two people. There are three fingers in total. (For a better grip, they should be a little longer and sewn farther apart. ) As a result, the belt loop serves as a better handle for carrying. )
- Hook for belt loops The loop tabs are small and have the ability to be undone. (It would be safer to use longer tabs. ) )
- Only memory cards can be carried in the two small pouches. (As with most other brands, it's preferable to have a pouch for lens filters or a cleaning cloth. ) )
- Zipper pulls, buckles, and flaps have a long life expectancy. (The quality of the materials, however, is excellent. ).

One-of-a-kind for Sony 200- 600G
5/5

This is currently the only case available on Amazon that works with the Sony 200-series. 600G. It's made of high-quality materials that will last a long time. It also appears to be very nice. br>I experimented with the LOWEPRO 13x32 and the JJC DLP- 7 and both were a little short. br>The APE easily fits the lens, and if you don't mind being held closed by the strap, it also fits the camera. However, I would not advise you to do so. For a better idea, look at the photos.

For the Canon 300mm f/2, the ACPROLC18 is a great case
4/5

With hood, size 8 L IS USM. I needed a case to transport the Canon 300mm f/2 lens. When shooting sports, opt for the 8 L IS USM with hood to avoid bringing a large backpack or rolling case into stadiums or high-security zones. Slinging the cameras around my neck, my monopod in one hand, and this Ape Case ACPROLC18 with the lens in it over my shoulder was a lot easier. The case is tough enough to withstand bumping into people, being carried in hand luggage, being thrown in the back of a car, or being taken on public transportation. It's not a good idea to use it in a check-in situation. However, only in luggage The lens case is large enough to hold the 300mm hood while also being long enough to hold the lens and the EF 1. Attached is a four-fold teleconverter. It has a shoulder strap for carrying it over the shoulder, and I like the bright yellow interior. br>br>There are two aspects of this case that appear to be slightly counter-intuitive. Design decisions that are intuitive:
1. The front plastic latch is opened by pressing down on the top half of the latch. The bottom of the latch will pop open, releasing the tongue portion. It's difficult to describe, and I still get it wrong on occasion. It is, however, effective at preventing others from opening your lens case. No one else, for example, can open this case to get to the lens when I'm using it. As a result, I don't have to "share" my long lens very often.
2. Underneath the flap is the case's zipper. The manufacturer's illustration shows the two zippers connected by a tether so that they can be slid open from ON TOP of the flap. This isn't always practical in practice. I frequently place the zippers and tether under the flap for added security, making the case a little more difficult to open. It doesn't bother me anymore because I'm used to it, but I thought I'd bring it up. br>br>Where this case shines is in terms of value for money. Other cases exist that have more padding and are thus bulkier, as well as latches and zippers that make more sense, but they cost at least 2x or 3x as much as this lens case. I don't keep the 300mm in this case, and I transport the big lens in a rolling case most of the time anyway, so this case is only for special occasions where rolling up with so much gear would be a hassle or intimidating. This case delivers on its promise at an excellent price.
