I have a pair of these cables tying my Netapp 4246 disk shelf to my LSI 9286-based system My cables are connected to the top controller on the disk shelf, and the RAID card detected the enclosure and the disks inside it with no problems. They work great and cost a fraction of what the eBay sellers are charging.

$40 for a 1 meter cable may seem a bit ridiculous to you, and I tend to agree with that viewpoint. For these cables, however, you will have to play the odds to find it cheaper elsewhere. We can all agree, whatever you're connecting to this project, you likely have far more money invested into it than $40. In my opinion, it is a decent price for the value it provides. As far as I'm concerned, the cable appears to be well made, and I haven't run into any problems with it.

My cable did not appear to be connected fully, it would come loose too easily. A replacement was sent as soon as I asked how I could fix the issue.
