The Amazon Basics 8K DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1 is the subject of this review. The cable is 10 feet long and comes in four pieces. I bought three of these cables to use in my multi-channel audio system. Gigabyite AORUS FI25F monitors on a multi-monitor setup I bought these cables because I needed something in the 9'-0" range for my monitor stand. DisplayPort version 1 had a 10' length range. The DisplayPort connector latches were missing on model 4, which was black in color. I was also looking for something simple and hopefully adaptable. Unfortunately, this cable isn't particularly adaptable. I was taken aback by how thick the cable was. It had a larger diameter than some of my DisplayPort cables, which have a fabric sheathing over them. And, despite the fact that the overall plug length of this cable is short, it still requires more space than my other DisplayPort cables due to its inflexibility. Overall, the AmazonBasics cable is adequate, but due to its bulk and inflexibility, I was unable to manage the cables in my multi-room setup. Setup of the monitor Because the cable receptacles face straight down and are close to the bottom of the monitor, I'd say the placement of the connections on my monitor makes cable management more difficult. As a result, I'll either need very flexible video and power cords or 90-degree connectors. All- All in all, this cable is a decent cable that will work for the vast majority of setups and offers excellent value for the money; however, if you require a cable that is extremely flexible and lightweight, you will need to look elsewhere.
The shorter cables may reach rated speeds, but the 10 foot cable I received is only capable of RBR or 5. 184 Gigabits per second (Gbits per second). This is a far cry from the 25 HBR3 rates. 92 Gigabits per second (Gbits per second). br>br>Cable is bulky and inflexible, making cable routing and management difficult if not impossible. This product should be avoided. br>br>.
These have a lot of thick cables. This cable may not be suitable for use if the connector is in a tight space and must make a close turn to the plug. br>Because of its thickness, the cable is over 9mm (roughly 3/8") thick and requires a large bend radius. br>As a result, the cable is extremely stiff and difficult to bend into position for cable management. If the back of your computer is against a wall, be careful not to push too hard on it when sliding it into place to avoid damaging your ports due to the stiffness of the cable.
The cable is made of high-quality materials. The connectors are snug, but not too tight or loose. Because one key piece of software I need to use does not support the widescreen format, I'm using a LG 29" widescreen monitor on my work desk computer with a second screen. use a display port to connect the two screens.
This cable appears to be well-made, but it stinks so badly that I am unable to use it. The off-white/rubber off-white off-white off-white off-white off- It's insane to gass.
Worked fine for a while, then I began to notice disruptions at the top of the screen while working, and the colors began to blur. I tried a different monitor, and the problem persisted. I also tried a different graphics card port, and the problem persisted. I tried a different cable and it didn't cause any problems. This cable stopped working properly after we ruled out all other possibilities. I'm sure this is an outlier, but it's unfortunate that it occurred so close to the warranty's expiration date.
Between a new Nvidia GPU and a UHD display, the picture was too big to handle. (Is it rated for an audience of eight thousand people? Ha! ) A flickering image or no image at all. If you don't want to invest in quality cables, simply pay the markup for Best Buy's Insignia brand and get it the next day.
My 4K monitor was too much for the standard HDMI cable that came with my new PC. It would bloom, cut out, and reappear on a regular basis. My video playback issues vanished after I replaced it with this Displayport cable. Now I'm very happy. I also like the price.
