Questions & Answers

Is this a cable with a cat 5 or a cat 6 connector?

The cable is RG6/U. The word "category" is derived from the word "cat" (i.e. The twisted wire variations of ethernet cabling are referred to as "category 5" or "category 6." The abbreviation RG refers to an old military manual that defined the specifics for what coaxial cables, which were originally used for radio equipment, should be used for. RG6 stands for "Radio Guide, Version 6," with the "U" indicating that it is intended for general use rather than specific equipment.

Is this cable stiff in the same way that traditional coax cable is?

It's as tough as a traditional coax cable and lasts as long. It is, however, far more versatile.

Is it compatible with high-speed internet access? What is the best way to connect a computer to the internet?

Yes, it's a complete success.

The part of the 90-degree adapter that affects your internet signal is extremely bad
3/5

If you use this cable with a cable modem, your internet may start dropping packets and you may experience connectivity issues. br>I could see the appeal of having a nice cable that comes out flush with the wall. However, it isn't worth the effort. br>br>The way 90-degree bends are used for coax cables allows too much noise and severely degrades signal quality. br>br>I believe this cable would work fine if you were only connecting a TV to a cable box. **DO NOT USE TO CONNECT A CABLE MODEM TO A COAX TAP** br>br>.

For Xfinity cable, it works perfectly
5/5

After having intermittent ethernet problems with Xfinity HD-, I decided to try another provider. The patch cord to the wall plate coupler should be replaced with a higher quality cable, according to the DVR cable box. This gold was discovered by me. plated high bandwidth cable with 90 degree angle, ideal for behind the entertainment cabinet, where access to the connection is restricted. Since the upgrade, I've noticed a better response and fewer issues. There have been no more error messages requiring system reboots since the receptacle coupler was replaced with a high-quality gold-plated coupler. Because I wanted the cable to be as short as possible to the wall coupler, I replaced it with the same KabelDirekt model with 90 degrees on both ends, which worked even better in my case.

Excellent cable of exceptional quality! It appears that the design has been improved
5/5

After reading all of the reviews about the 90-degree connector popping off, Internet speeds dropping, and so on, I was hesitant to order this. However, I required a low-profile 90-degree connector, and this cable appeared to be of good quality and a reasonable price. As a result, I took a chance and am glad that I did. br>br>First and foremost, they must have changed the design of the 90-degree connector because mine will not pull off, even with a lot of force. Second, I wanted to make sure my Internet signal didn't suffer as a result of the cable change, so I ran multiple connection speed tests on speedtest. net before and after changing the cable. Because download speeds can fluctuate throughout the day for a variety of reasons, it's critical to conduct your before and after tests within a short period of time to obtain the most accurate comparative results. To get a representative average, run at least three tests before and three tests after. br>br>Before switching the cable, I was getting around 237Mbps down and 6Mbps up on a regular basis. I was getting around 240Mbps down and 6Mbps up with the new Kabel Direct cable. So not only did I not notice any deterioration in the signal, but it actually improved slightly. I'm not sure if it's because the new cable is of higher quality or because it's half as long as the old one, but I'm pleased. br>br>Don't be put off by the negative reviews or "expert" advice. This is a very high-quality piece of artwork. It's a good cable, and the design appears to have been improved.

There is no reduction in internet speed due to the use of a high-quality coax cable
5/5

This is a very high-quality cable that is also very simple to set up. I thought it was just flashy based on the pictures, but when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the high build quality. I was originally looking for a wall-mounted 90-degree coax adapter, but after reading reviews that said those adapters can slow down your internet connection, I decided to go with this cable instead. br>br>I haven't noticed any differences in the speed of my internet connection. This is connected to my modem via the wall. br>br>Would definitely recommend this brand to anyone looking for high-quality coax cables, particularly the right-angle versions if you need a low-profile installation.

At a fair price, you can get high-quality cable
5/5

This is a very nice cable wire; for a similar price, you can get junk. Heavy jacket with excellent ends that are both easy to put on and, more importantly, comfortable to wear. take off. One of the ends has a 90-degree angle, which I like. It appears that there must always be at least one end. I'm going to use this to put an antenna on my house for TV so I can get some local channels and stream the rest because I'm sick of those $100-$200 cable bills. Bills totaling $200 per month. I should be able to get the most out of this cable if I use it properly. I live in the country, so if I want any kind of reception, it has to be of high quality. I also purchased two additional items. a ten-footer.

An increase of 20 megabits per second over the previous cable
5/5

The most popular review on here claims that using this for internet will degrade your signal because of the 90-degree angle. Meh. br>br>Over my old cable, I have a nearly constant average of almost 20mbs. Is it possible that my old cable was defective? Is it possible that my modem is becoming obsolete? But none of that changes the fact that I was experiencing speed issues, which were resolved thanks to this cable. My ping packets are also fairly consistent, varying by no more than 4 milliseconds across a series of tests on the same server. I'm not a gamer, so it doesn't really matter to me. Upload speeds, on the other hand, are nearly identical to those of the old cable.

I would 100% recommend this cable because I was only expecting moderate speed increase and it went above my bar and remains there.

The only cable I'm interested in is this one! I had previously used a KabelDirekt ethernet cord and been impressed with the build quality, so I decided to give them a try when I needed a coax cable
5/5

I'm not sure how a simple cable can impress me, but WOW. It simply has a better 'feel' to it. Ends are lovely and pliable. I know you can't see them after they've been installed, but I know they're there; ) After this second purchase, I was sold on sticking with the brand for all of their cables. The added bonus is that it significantly improved my download speeds (and I wasn't convinced there was a difference in cable signals to begin with).

For internet access via WiFi, a good coaxial cable is required
5/5

I was having issues with my wifi because it was unstable, and then I realized my coaxial cable had been damaged because the back of the TV stand was pushing the cable against the wall. Then I came across this 90-degree angle that solved my problem. My wifi speed has been stable and fast since I started using this 90 degree coaxial cable, and I would highly recommend it if your coaxial outlet is hidden behind a cabinet against the wall.
