In comparison to low-cost cables, there is a noticeable difference in sound quality
5/5

For headphone listening in my home office, I have a Schiit Eitr/Modi Multibit/Magni 3 stack on my desk. It's a powerful setup, but it's small enough that it doesn't get in the way of my work, which is important because I do a lot of sketching at my desk. I could have gotten something better and more compact from iFi or Chord, but the thing with separates is that you don't have to buy everything at once. Over the course of a year and a half, I accumulated the three components of the stack. br>br>Unfortunately, my Stack, while competent, fell short of my expectations. It was a little crowded, a little bright, and a little claustrophobic. The soundstage, separation, and details are all very important. Based on my previous experience with other Schiit components at audio shows, I assumed they should have been better, and this was confirmed when I had the opportunity to listen to the exact same setup but with different cables. The triple Schiit stack, you see, is a very cable-friendly setup. system with a central focus A USB cable is required to connect the computer to the Eitr, followed by a digital coaxial cable from the Eitr to the Modi M, and finally an RCA cable from the Modi to the Magni. There's a good chance that the signal will be picked up by someone who isn't paying attention. than- connections that are exceptional br>br>You see, I'd heard so many times that cables are cables are cables that I just went with it, despite the fact that it didn't make sense to me. It seems reasonable to assume that better conductors imply a better signal, which in turn implies better sound. Because of their binary nature, the debate over digital cables is even more heated. But, surely, a bad conductor or interference can muddle even a square wave / pulse? I'd assume so, though I'm no expert; in college, I devoted the majority of my science credits and electives to chemistry. I probably should've taken a few more physics classes. Putting that aside, I had been making do with cables from the bottom of the barrel. Why? Dogma. I'd heard so many times that cables are snake oil that I didn't even consider the possibility that they were the source of the problem. Blind faith, good ol' faith, good ol' faith, good ol' faith The facts, on the other hand, could not be refuted. The Stack sounded flat-out good with the good cables. It sounded better than my stack, and I was listening to it through a pair of headphones I'm used to (HE-1000). 400i). I can't speak to the difference between decent cables and extremely expensive cables, but I can confidently say that upgrading from total garbage cables to decent cables makes a significant difference. br>br>So, after some research, I decided on the green Audioquests (USB, digital coax, and RCA) as the best option. It'd cost a little more than $100, but if a $100 set of Audioquest cables couldn't beat the crapola cables I had, I figured it was time to sell my stack and get something less cable-y. depending on The good news is that the replacement cables performed flawlessly. The analogue RCA cable made the most difference, but I switched between old and new cables ad nauseam, and they all made a difference. The result of replacing all three bad cables with three green Audioquest cables was not subtle. Everything became smoother and clearer, with significant improvements in separation and imaging. br>br>So, if you're using a super low-cost camera, If you're using free cables with your audio gear and your audio experience feels a little flat, a little cardboard-y, a little congested or compressed, maybe a touch harsh or glaring, it's time to upgrade. So, I recommend that you invest in some good entry-level footwear. audiophile cables at a high level Again, I have no idea what the difference between a $100 set of cables and a $1000 set of cables is, but I do know that the difference between free cables and $100 cables is quite noticeable.

The cable is excellent
5/5

The cable is excellent. In my opinion, it is way overpriced. They appeal to me, so I buy them. The cheap cables, on the other hand, sound exactly the same. Don't try to convince me otherwise because I put it to the test.

A Connection That Is Far Too Tight
4/5

Nice RCA cable, but I deducted a star because the connectors are so darn tight that unplugging them is a real pain, and you'll have to be careful not to damage the mating equipment. br>This would not be a problem if you only plugged it in once, but if you change things around frequently, it becomes a hassle.

Coaxial cable of exceptional quality
5/5

Because I prefer the Marantz DAC, I'm using it to connect an Onkyo CD player's digital output to the digital input of a Marantz CD player. This coaxial cable replaces an optical cable, and the sound quality is significantly improved. The sound is now clearer and louder, and the optical cable's slight left channel bias has been reduced. For your digital-to-digital connections, this is a good option.

I had my doubts
5/5

I was sceptical about the benefits of a digital coax cable because I already have one. Before the data is sent to a high-end D/A, it is passed through a clocker to remove jitter. I understand that speaker cables and interconnects improve sound quality, but why pay more for a better coax? But, for the price, I figured it was worth a shot. I expected to switch back and forth between this and my basic coax a few times to hear if there was a difference. However, I only required the first note to be sung. There was a subtle but noticeable difference in the quality and richness of the signing voice, which sounded more like it came from a real person. It's a good upgrade for the money.
