In my truck, I spent a good portion of the morning running and routing the cable. After attempting to tune my antenna, I discovered that the cable has an internal hard short. br>Stay away from this nonsense and go with the Firestik brand.
It's in perfect condition. I had assumed the fitting that came with it was an antenna stud, but it works perfectly. However, this is not the case. It's simply a coax connector that connects male to male. I'm not sure where that'll come in handy, but make sure you get an antenna stud mount to attach it to one.
So you'll be able to fix it with a new connector if the coax is of good quality.
The coax is of good quality, and the connectors are attractive. Insulation that is both strong and flexible, as well as high-quality ends. This was perfect for tucking through and behind interior car panels for a 13-foot antenna installation.
It's fantastic. I tucked and hidden my cb antenna at the back of the Pathfinder all the way up to the radio.
It was exactly what the doctor ordered when it came to lengthening a too-short antenna cord. In just a few minutes, the wire was neatly tucked away. It works flawlessly and without a hitch.
Right out of the box, Cable was shorted. The building is extremely low-cost. Stay away.
