Questions & Answers

Is it necessary to format these discs before using them?

Definitely you have to format the discs if you are burning Blu-ray discs You can watch blu-ray movies online. There is no way to burn data discs for me. My preferred method of burning images is

The layers of these seem to be dual?

They are, as I believe. A box with the label BD- has been placed in the room I'd like to talk about the In the DL format, dual layers are usually indicated. It is possible to burn movies of up to 40 GB on these without worrying about layer breaks.

Do I have a problem with my dvd drive recognizing blank discs? You can use this drive with blank DVDs and full DVDs. ?

It is important to remember that these are not DVDs, but blank Blu-ray discs A ray. You could buy a Blu-ray disc if you had one Once the BD drive is installed, it can use DVDs or BDs

Are there any suggestions you can make as to whether to buy Toyota or Mitsubishi? A great addition to your Sony Blu-ray ?

These two items seem to be the same when it comes to dulability. Mitsubishi seems to be more popular and less expensive in Japan, while TDK seems to be less well Whether you are right or wrong depends on your perspective. There is nothing wrong with either item.

We received our discs in a timely manner. Both a 5- and a 3-year warranty were purchased Singles packed in a pack - A 25G layer (and a 5-G layer), This package contains two double-sided cards The 50G layer is kept inside a thicker layer (50G) at the same time, so once opened, no easy way to differentiate My advanced age makes it difficult to read the legends, which are written in tiny letters near the rim of the disc. Each package contains two discs without a paper insert for recording information and three discs with an insert for recording information. I have no idea why the paper inserts were so expensive they couldn't afford two more, but there you have it. When the sets were received, a few of the jewel cases were damaged and cracked. In part, this is because packing and shipping occur at the same time. In part, this arises from the fact that jewel cases are typically made of the flimsiest plastic. Verbatim has clearly done this so that they can save money and increase profit. You can see this in the missing two inserts. There is an issue with the 25G discs being manufactured by Mitsubishi/Verbatim, which has been noted before A CMCMAG-code can be found here In the CN2-phase CMC Magnetics is likely the manufacturer of the device with the serial number 000. There is a verification code for the 50G discs, however I'm lying - Verbatim manufactured these discs to the tune of $6. 000, implying Verbatim made these discs. The fact that all ten of the discs I purchased have been formatted/verified immediately gives me some comfort, but not enough for me to not format/verify them all While they are 2x, they are a bit slow to format and write however, the speed is clearly marked, so it should not surprise you. If you want something for a reasonable price that allows you to safely test your BR builds before you go live with them, this is it. It is okay to accept speed limitations, and then move forward.
Before I delve into the actual operation of the discs, let me admit that I'm confused about why a re-write It would be printable if it was writable. It's not like you can erase it and start over again I don't print, so the printable surface seems to be a waste of space. Yet, the post-it note underneath the jewel case lid works perfectly as a removable reminder of what's A lot of people don't realize how important this is for discs without paper sleeves. Anyhow, use ImgBurn (excellent program free of charge/ Please be careful not to install any of the offered crapware) and its "Discovery" mode, I formatted and verified the discs. You should take note that this takes some time, but it is well worth the effort since it will hard-test the discs, which will save you from grief in the future. Among the 50 G dual-slot 50G network cards in my case There was a failure in the validation of the layer discs During the second pass of Discovery, the same hard errors were detected. Please note EDIT Four of the five 50G packages which we received for replacement have been validated successfully, one has It's hard to say whether I'll just return them, but I'm not sure these are worth the money. On the 50Gs, a star is removed.

I've had no problems with it
5/5

Experiencing delays from Japan, but arrived quicker than some North American transcontinental fifty gigabyte rewriteable discs at a good price. All of them have been used by me. No problems were encountered during the formatting process. In about a week (including the weekend), the plane arrived from Japan at my home in Kentucky. There is a really nice inkjet print feature on them that I like. I feel as though the printable surface protects against scratches and other damage even if I don't print to it. Software from Burn verifies that each task was completed without errors. The images are what I use to back up my hard drive backups. The software I use is a Linux-based package that runs directly off its own My software program is set up to verify the burn several times at one time. Therefore, it will take about four minutes. Five hours is a long time to do an "imaged" backup of a 45GB hard drive, but this is to be I like the fact that I no longer need to manually feed 10 fresh DVDs into the drive when it used to take about 10 DVDs I can just let the program run unattended and it will put the image onto a 50GB Blu-ray disc As of the date I'm writing this, I have a LG Blu-ray player The Ray burner model WH14NS40 is mounted in the Vantec Nexstar NST-140 In 530S3, "- The BK External 5 has been published. A USB 3. 0 enclosure is included with this kit. BD burning on LG burners is limited to a 2X max speed Re (Blu-ray RG BD RE) I start by checking each disc using Nero's "full erase" function to see if it has damaged sectors which will then be marked as unused by Nero. It is also known as "defect management" just as it is in the hard drive industry. My five discs arrived in good condition but I would like to know if any had red marks or bad spots on them. As best I can tell from what I understand, Nero does not report if any sectors are bad. I have been using Nero 8 on my old computer for over eight years, and the "full erase" with bad sector discovery takes 80 minutes per disc. It is very old (Nero 8 is *) I haven't tried to burn these Verbatim BDs Using any software other than my Linux based drive imaging software is not recommended to use RE 50GB discs. My burns were on regular Blu-ray discs, not the digital version This is not a required field Verbatim 25GB from LTH and I only receive a maximum of 2 GB. An updated version of ImgBurn will speed up the process by 2X. Using my setup, I can burn a disc about 2X faster than what I can do for a regular DVD. It's probably my old computer that's the problem. In comparison, my LG burner can only burn 2X when it comes to these Verbatim BDs Re (Blu-ray Even with Blu-Ray Recordable Eraseable), I know that I'm still going to come into conflict with 2X. To see if things get better, there's no need to try a lot of software It is not possible for me to burn Blu-ray more than twice on my computer No matter what, you need to get a Blu-Ray disc. I don't mind that at all for my purposes.

I am re-entering the debate A Blu-ray Disc that can be written to A Ray Disk is a disc with optical properties
4/5

During the same time I bought my Asus external Blu-ray player, I bought these as well Raymond is an author. This is for the purposes of using it as a backup system, so I have bought the disks to go with it. The data I can store on a DVD's takes too many discs when I use an image backup system. I just started the backup and retired for the night, even though it seems to take a very long time to record the data. Since I can record several partitions on the same disk in the same session, I just continued recording the data. I was able to backup all my data in a few hours. The only reason I rated these disks 4 stars instead of 5 was because of this little issue. My luck eventually turned out to be such that I had to restore one of the partitions within a week. got a wonderful surprise. Instead of the 2 hours it was going to be. DVds take an additional hour or so to restore, so it completed in about ten minutes. The duration of the video is 18 minutes. In addition, although 4 of the 5 jewel cases were ruined by poor packing for shipment, all five of the disks were completely intact. The five of them worked perfectly as they should. In order to create a second set of backup disks, I will go back and buy more of these.
