I bought another one of these to connect my Roku to an older television, but it was more expensive and less effective. I was afraid that in order for it to work, I'd have to pay twice the price. I decided to take a chance on this one, and I'm glad I did. It saved me money and was extremely simple to set up. br>br>I keep checking to see if it gets hot like other reviews say it does, but mine hasn't. If it becomes a problem, I'll make the necessary changes. The image quality is excellent. br>br> Other than the fact that it's on an older TV, there's no strange revealing or size issues.

I have a vehicle with a Rear Seat Entertainment system (RES) that includes a DVD player and RCA inputs, but the DVD player is broken, so I need to use the RCA inputs. I bought a portable DVD player with RCA inputs that works, but I also want to be able to use a laptop as a video source, so I bought this item. br>br>After a bad experience with a previous purchase, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one actually works. The adapter can take a high-resolution input (1080p) and downscale it to 480i, which is the maximum resolution that an RCA yellow plug can carry. In addition, the image quality was acceptable. The red/white RCA plugs received the audio signal from the HDMI port, which is important because any Windows 10 computer is limited to 800x600 as the minimum resolution, so I was worried the adapter wouldn't work with my RES. br>br>After reading reviews that this item gets warm/hot with prolonged use, I purchased a USB powered case fan, which I intend to connect to the adapter if necessary. However, despite only using the adapter for 5 minutes, I have yet to experience the heat issue. minutes at a time while putting it to the test. br>br>Another plus was that the package included all of the necessary cables. To charge the adapter, I only needed to bring my own USB charger.

When the HDMI port on my old flat screen stopped working, I used it. The display looked like it belonged on much older televisions and monitors. Instead, I've been watching TV on any spare screens I have - With the picture as it is, I'm not ready to give up completely on this one, but I'm getting close. I might have given up if it wasn't for the fact that it was mounted into the brick fireplace. br>br>However, I assume the product performs to the best of its abilities. It isn't its fault that technology isn't always backwards compatible or that time and technological change pass us by. I pity the thing because it will be despised for delivering the results it was created to deliver. Of course, someone may know of other ways to get your Fire TV to work with an HDMI converter in that port. However, this author is out of time and patience to deal with it at the moment.

I bought this item before and set it up without reading the instructions. I returned the item because I could only watch black and white television programs on the Fire Stick. After reading reviews and directions, I repurchased another, believing that by flipping a switch on the device, my television shows would be in brilliant color. If you don't believe you know everything and don't read directions, this is a great tool to have.

This adapter was significantly less expensive than the one I bought for an older TV a few months ago. This adapter allowed me to use my Roku as a TV by connecting it to an old computer monitor. When converting a computer monitor to a television, you'll need a vga adapter. The picture quality is excellent, and the adapter is simple to use. It arrived the next day, which was extremely fast, and I would highly recommend it.

It really works. I recently moved into an apartment with an old television, and this allows me to make better use of it. I'm not sure why those dark lines appear in the second photo, but they aren't visible.
