Yes, each input can be set up as a microphone or a line input separately.
You can do this with OBS, which is a free program that allows you to broadcast/stream and record at the same time. However, it can only record in 1080 Full HD. But I'm not sure if Atem has it, so I'll have to come back and answer that.
ATEM Mini Pro has all of the features of the Mini, plus multi view with four cameras, media, preview, and program, as well as recording, streaming, and audio status. It can also record in H.264 format to USB flash disks. 264, as well as direct streaming to YouTube Live via Ethernet and other features.
In theory, any type of microphone, whether dynamic or condenser, could be used. The system includes an internal mixer and allows you to control many parameters via software. To get the best sound, I can only recommend that you use paired microphones and read the instruction manual.

It takes a little getting used to, but this is a very capable little switcher! What an incredible tool. This is the same as having four capture cards that automatically sync with two other capture cards. 5mm inputs into a single software interface, with the ability to do picture-in-picture. For intros and product videos, you'll need a picture, live keying, titles, and a media queue. What can be accomplished nowadays is truly amazing. It used to take an entire truck to do what this thing does when I first started working as a freelancer! Now I can livestream events from anywhere there is ethernet and power with a powerful laptop. A fantastic option for social media streamers and twitch streamers looking for a serious production upgrade (if you get this, be sure to have more cameras or input sources ready!). ), or broadcast television crews looking for a simple but effective livestreaming option for social media and television via RTMP restreaming. Streamlabs OBS, OBS, and Restream are all compatible. io.
I've worked in television production for 38 years, and this $300 switcher can do things that used to require a full truckload of gear. As you can see, all you need is a small audio mixer and some HDMI cameras to get a full TV production up and running. It's what I use to produce Facebook Live and YouTube Live shows. This is an incredible piece of equipment.
Two of the ATEM Minis are now in my possession. We make Facebook Live and YouTube videos. Our first one was set up to combine the HDMI streams from three different consumer-grade (low-cost) video cameras and a computer desktop, as well as a lavalier mic plugged into the mini's back. The video output is routed via HDMI to a DVR (Cloner Pro) for recording, and another output is routed to a computer (an older MacBook Pro) for livestreaming. All of the cameras and the computer screen can be turned on and off with a single button press, which also includes fades. This setup eliminates the need for a second person to control the cameras, saving many hours of video editing time. br>br>I still have a 20-year-old digital video switcher that mixed two cameras and two microphones. It cost over $3,000 at the time, and it doesn't even come close to the capabilities of the ATEM Mini. I'm only surprised BlackMagic is selling it for so cheap. At $600, it would be a steal, but it's only $295. br>br>Wow, BlackMagic, you did a great job!.
My job entails giving product demonstrations and taking a number of phone calls per day. This small device has inputs for my camera, a duplicate output from my desktop, and video from our hardware. Because it appears as a webcam, I can effectively "share my screen" without being a host or having meeting permissions. This, combined with the ability to show my camera and video from other hardware, makes it a lot easier than using OBS on my MacBook with a bunch of dongles. When I need to conceal my face for a moment, I use the still image button to show my company logo. Perhaps not the intended use case, but a good solution for the price. br>br>Everyone is blown away by my high production value in business video calls, but it'll be the norm between this work-group and the next. from- When the kids who stream on Twitch make it big in the business world, they'll put us to shame with their learned production skills.
If you're still reading this, I can't stress enough how important it is that you just click 'Buy itNow. ' For the price, this is an excellent product that combines the resolutions of all four channels into a single output resolution. On the hardware, it's incredibly simple to use, but holy crap - it's a monster. You won't believe the capabilities of this software once you've downloaded it. Not only is it a switcher, but the software also includes a powerful audio board with compressors for each of the six audio inputs (2 mic inputs on the ATEM and audio from each HDMI input). The only thing that could make the ATEM Mini better is if it had a multi-channel audio output. It does not have a preview output, but it does have a view output. I really like it!.
I believe this unit was released too soon, and Blackmagic used it as a guinea pig to force us all to participate in their feedback process. As a result, the device is far more useful. The ATEM mini PRO is a small device that can be used for a variety of Although still useful for desktop publishers, due to the lack of multiview, audio monitoring, and hard drive capabilities, it has limited functionality. The new version will have all of the features. I hope Blackmagic doesn't make a habit of operating in this manner. Thousands of people purchased the ATEM mini, and four months later, a newer product is released.
I can't believe it only cost $300. To produce high school football live streams, I use this in conjunction with OBS studio. I feed all of my cameras and audio through this switcher (the software audio mixer is fantastic) and output to my laptop running OBS, where I overlay all of the graphics before live streaming to YouTube. It's a fantastically low-cost setup that allows me to produce broadcast-quality content. The integration of graphics into the switcher is the only drawback in my opinion. I'm not interested in the upstream or downstream keys. You can only use PNG files, and the downstream key has no physical button on the switcher. If you're using a Luma key setup, the physical upstream key won't work. It is only applicable to chroma key. It would be great if the media pool could accept Photoshop PSD files that were updated on a regular basis. as they're edited and saved in photoshop That's what I've been doing with OBS, which has a scoreboard that can be changed. But, more recently, I discovered how to integrate Scoreboard into OBS, giving me a scoreboard with a clock and full controller. I just wish it worked in the ATEM Mini rather than OBS. For the $300 version, however, I can't give it anything less than 5 stars because of the price. Now, I'd expect these flaws to be fixed in the higher-priced versions.
For the past few weeks, I've been using the Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini HDMI Live Switcher to livestream at my church. I haven't even scratched the surface of what it can do, but I love how simple it is to set up, how easy it is to control the sound, how easy it is to switch between cameras, and so on. I'm excited to experiment with adding graphics to the stream, as well as adding more cameras and the like. br>br>Great product at a great price!br>br>The only drawback I can think of is the lack of built-in audio monitoring. I needed to purchase an HDMI audio splitter so that I could listen to the audio signal as it was being broadcast in real time.
