The first bulb he bought (not this one) lasted about 5 years, but the second one only lasted about 8 months by the time I installed it. To be clear, THAT WAS NOT THIS ITEM, but I believe the quality of these inexpensive bulb types is comparable. The 1st is about 5 years behind the 2nd, and the 2nd is about 8 months behind. I'll take a chance on the less expensive option rather than the more expensive ones. br>br>Installation is quick and painless, taking less than 10 minutes from start to finish. This is inexpensive and functional, and once it fails, I'll update my review of THIS item. I believe that replacing these every few years is more cost effective than purchasing the professional bulbs, which are many times more expensive. We'll see how things go, but for now, I'm content!.

On Monday, December 20, 2021, this lamp bit the dust. When I turned on the television, the picture was very dark and shadowy. I switched off and on, only to be greeted by a black screen with a red flashing light, indicating a faulty lamp. So, if a 5-month operation is your only option, go for it and cross your fingers! On the other hand, just in time for the holiday sales, I'm chunking the TV!.

WHEN THE SERVICEMAN CAME TO INSTALL IT, IT WAS WRONG, EVEN THOUGH ALL INFORMATION SAID THIS WAS THE CORRECT BULB FOR MY 92 IN TV. br>SINCE TIME HAS PASSED SINCE PURCHASE AND WAITING FOR INSTALLER CAUSED A PART OF THE PURCHASE PRICE TO BE LOST, CALL FIRST BEFORE ORDERING, REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS WRITTEN.

It is simple to set up. I used the "return to factory settings" button after the installation was completed. The photograph appears to have been taken recently.
