Not Cool. I've ordered this replacement bulb several times and it's fine, but the last one I got must have had a pod of bug eggs in it, and when the TV warmed up, they hatched inside. My TV now has these tiny bugs, gnats, or something on the other side of the screen that I can't get rid of without completely dismantling it. Hopefully, they will eventually die off and fall to the bottom of the screen, where they will no longer be visible, but who knows? Maybe they'll be able to stay in there indefinitely, creating a bug ecosystem inside my $3k Mitsubishi TV. So. This doesn't sit well with me.
My 65-inch Mitsubishi rear-projection television is one of my most prized possessions. I noticed it was very dark while watching a daytime show. I bought a new bulb and put it in, and wow, what a difference it made. I guess I wasn't paying attention to how dim the other bulb was becoming.
BUYING IS A MISTAKE. READ THE ONE-STAR REVIEWS AND THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO DID NOT LIKE IT. For the first 60 days, everything was fine. I attempted to contact the vendor, but Amazon informed me that I was not permitted to do so. AVOID IT. BUYING IS A MISTAKE. It is impossible for me to express how important it is. If you purchase this lamp, you will be wasting $20. Avoid frustration by purchasing a genuine Philips or Osram lamp. I should've known better, and now YOU do as well.
An old television screen is transformed into a brand new one with this replacement. The bulb begins to fade after about a year, causing the television screen to darken; this can be remedied by replacing the bulb with a new one.
My original lamp burned out in December 2017, so I ordered this one and installed it without any issues. The lamp has already blown out as of June 28th, 2018. It's a good thing I bought the insurance. The protection plan does not include the delivery of a new lamp; instead, it will reimburse you once the old one is scanned at the shipping location.
Over the years, we've purchased six of these lamps. Some are for a year or two, while others are for a week or two. They're currently offering a protection plan for it, and I'm going to sign up for it! Purchasing a replacement for the one I purchased in March of this year!.
The lamp is in excellent condition and functions flawlessly. The only snag was that it had been damaged when it arrived. One of the plastic screw holders had become detached. Thankfully, the design itself plugs into the back of the television, so it'll stay put with just one screw and the plug. If we move it at all, we must do so with care. We didn't want to go through the trouble of getting it exchanged because it worked.
I previously ordered this lamp from this company three years ago, and it served me well for those three years. My new lamp isn't working, and my television is showing a red light of death. I'm extremely dissatisfied, and contacting the seller is extremely difficult. I despise leaving negative feedback and would much rather have a replacement sent to me.
