I followed the instructions for setting up the lamp. When I turned on the television, I was ecstatic to see how new it looked! It turned off after 8 or 10 minutes! When we turn it on, it turns off within 1 to 2 minutes. We reasoned that it might simply take some time for the lamp to adjust to the TV's position. After two weeks, we finally called Samsung and placed an order for one! So, you've decided to say no! Please send me the address where I can return this lamp and receive a refund for my "money." Thank you very much, Marilyn.
I'm not sure, but I don't believe the issue is with the Blu-ray player; I'm having trouble with my television flickering and refusing to turn on; after a while, it will turn on and stay on; the problem is with the picture board; if this is the issue, the board is $390. 00 plus labor to install it, unless you can do it yourself. I'm going to wait until the unit breaks down before purchasing a new television.
You are entitled to one free lamp per warranty period. If Samsung determines that your television is defective and you have a warranty, they will replace it.
I'm not sure, but I believe the lamp code for your TV is on a label on the side of the TV on the opposite side. This is the one you should order so it fits properly. That's how it's set up on my television. I hope this information is useful. Thanks

I'm not going to get any more. For the past six years, I've owned or used a Samsung 47" DLP television, but the original bulb failed. This bulp worked perfectly as a substitute. It came on time and in good condition. It appears to be an exact replica of the original that came from my television. It only took 5 minutes to replace the old one. The rear panel is held in place by four screws, and the bulb is held in place by a fifth screw. The original is then slid out, and the new one is slid in. You're done once you've replaced all of the screws. That is all there is to it. This replacement bulb lasted two months before the waning lights on my television began flashing, signaling that the bulb needed to be replaced. My television then began to shut down on its own, and the warning lights illuminated. Anyway, it died after a little more than two months. I took off the back panel and pulled out the bulb, only to find shattered glass inside, as if the element had blown. Burn marks (dark brown or black marks) are visible. It was probably a lucky break that it didn't overheat and catch fire. br>br>Conclusion. This bulb worked perfectly for the six years it lasted, and for $38, I thought I had solved my problems. No way. Maybe I got a dud by chance? Is it possible that the materials are of poor quality? Who can say? But I'm not going to buy another. It's time to replace your old television with an LED model. And it's November, just before Christmas, and I don't have the funds to do so, but I do need a television, don't we all? br>br>Best of luck!.
Please accept my heartfelt apologies for my previous review, in which I slammed this seller for sending me a product that did not match the description. I was surprised to find a light bulb without a plastic housing when I opened the Amazon box. I dashed to my trusty computer and began reading product reviews, where I discovered that others were also upset about the same issue. I decided to join in the fun. br>br>However, when I completely unwrapped the bulb from its packaging, I noticed that it did, in fact, have a housing around the bulb, which was not what I had expected. This fit into my TV without needing to be re-wired. repurposing existing components br>br>And I'm back to feeling proud of myself for fixing my own TV for a fraction of the cost of having someone else do it. br>br>If you're wondering if a new bulb will fix your Samsung TV, I can only say that mine was randomly turning off and turning back on. The problem was solved by changing the bulb.
Our Samsung DLP's bulb finally died after about 6 years of service. I took a chance by ordering an off-brand item, but the risk appears to have paid off so far. br>br>The bulb arrived in good condition and was stamped'made in Mexico,' which is where the Samsung DLP was made. It doesn't appear to be OEM, but it appears to be a good product, and I was able to install it without difficulty and have everything up and running in under 10 minutes. br>br>And this is when things started to get strange. During the first week, the bulb failed to turn off several times and the screen flickered. I contacted the seller, who was quick to respond, but the bulb's issues then vanished. Maybe it just needed a little more time to get used to it. br>br>We've had no problems with this bulb in nearly 5 months. Maybe it won't last as long as the old bulb, but I'm not sure how much longer the TV will last.
I just ordered this for the second time to replace the one I ordered in January 2014, and I realized I never reviewed it before. In any case, it's fantastic! Although I'm ordering another one almost 6 months later, it probably would have lasted several months longer if I wasn't such an avid TV watcher who falls asleep in front of the TV and the TV ends up watching me until the morning hours instead of the other way around. When my husband turns it off, I wake up and say, "Hey, I was watching that," so it's no surprise that I need to replace it right away. Others for $100 are said to last much longer, but if you need something in the meantime or simply don't want to spend that much, this is the one to get! I'm going to try to use the TV timer this time, and I'm confident it'll last a lot longer:.
We've had our television for a long time and are very happy with it. It's a 61-inch Samsung DLP, which is no longer available. We were devastated when the bulb went out, especially because the NFL season was approaching. I looked in every store in my neighborhood, but none of them had these bulbs. When I tried to order directly from Samsung, they demanded several hundred dollars and said they couldn't guarantee it would survive shipping, so they wanted to sell me a warranty plan and charge me to send a technician out. I was overjoyed to find it on Amazon for such a low price, and I immediately ordered it. My husband easily replaced the bulb in a matter of minutes after receiving it the next day. The instructions were excellent. Our television's picture quality appears to be even better than it was when we first purchased it! THANK YOU FOR SAVING US $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
We'll see how long it takes to figure it out. So far, everything has gone smoothly. I had purchased this a few months prior to my need for it. But eventually, with the blinking lamp light, my TV began to turn off more frequently. It was simple to set up, aside from cleaning up the dust and vacuuming the floor, and you didn't need rubber gloves because you weren't working with a bare bulb. The brightness was restored as a result of this. Only time will tell if they'll be around for a long time. My original bulb lasted for at least 6,000 hours and a decade. I can't compare the color quality of my bulb to that of an original Philips bulb because it's so old. I wish I had an original bulb to compare, but I had to go with the less expensive option. br>br>In September of 2015, I installed this.
