Update: I had hoped for a different outcome, but after three months, it was not to be. br>br>I refused to believe the negative feedback. I assumed they'd made a mistake. I'm not sure what happened to the bulb, but I'm going to buy the OEM version, even though it's three times the price. br>br>Original review: It was a little difficult to get to the back of my 80-inch Mitsubishi, but this was a breeze to install. I could buy three of them for less than the original Mitsubishi price at the price I paid, and while I don't expect this lamp to last as long as the original Mitsubishi lamp, it does the job. br>br>I'll probably buy a few more from this vendor as a backup.
*Update* I received a replacement bulb, which lasted three days before blowing up. When we contacted the vendor, we were told that the problem must be with our television and not with the bulb. It's been 30 days since I bought the bulb from a different vendor, and it's still working fine. br>br>Placed in TV on May 27; bulb blew up today, May 31! - I am extremely disappointed. I understand that you get what you pay for, but I was expecting it to last more than a few days! (br>br>Emailed Seller to request a refund or a replacement bulb - If the seller responds, I will update this post.
In 2007, my mother-in-law purchased it brand new. So far, I'd rather pay the $250 it cost us to fix it twice than find a new, more fragile, and smaller television than buy a new one. I should've noticed the lamp was failing based on how dark the television was. We can now watch TV with the curtains open because it's so bright!.
For the price I paid, I believe it was $19. The bulb has exceeded my expectations. The wd57734's original bulb finally blew out. It was as if I had purchased a new television after replacing the bulb. You don't notice the bulb fading over time, but after 10 years on the first one and slapping this in there, the tv color and brightness were a night and day difference. I understand why the bulbs have a recommended life span now that I've learned about them. At this price, replacing them on a regular basis isn't such a bad idea. br>br>Update: I got the first build on May 2nd, and it blew up on July 18th. I received a refund from Amazon and placed an order for a new build. I'll keep you updated on this bulb.
In January, we got the lamp. 11, and I immediately installed it. Feb. The lamp had gone out at the age of fourteen. We're not thrilled with this product, and we're hoping they'll honor their 150-day warranty, or we'll have a problem with the company.
The lamp was identical to the one that the manufacturer had installed. It was very simple to set up. The lamp is available from Mitsubishi for $200, so this was a fantastic bargain. I placed a second order right away in case the first one became unavailable when it was time to replace it. There are numerous UTube videos that show how to remove and replace the lamp.
I bought two of these, which is unheard of. Both made it to the end of the 90-day warranty period! br>br>It's not worth it to buy this to save money! br>br>Waste. br>br>Value is a negative number!.
It was easy to install and had a reasonable price.
