By cutting the port tube, you can change its length. I wouldn't say it would have an impact on sound quality, but it will have an impact on the driver's performance. br>It all depends on how you set up your set-top box. Build a 4" long box tuned for a 1" port, or a 2" long box with the port cut in half.

The description said 1 inch ID, but it's 7/8ths at the flared end and 13/16ths at the other. The overall diameter stated in the description was 1 5/8ths, but the item received was 1 3/16ths. It's a significant distinction. The tapered end for a "press fit" installation is also missing from the product. Is it going to be successful? Yes, but it differs significantly from the images and descriptions provided. 3 3/4 inches, not 4 inches, is the length.
It's perfect for what it's supposed to be. A 10 inch subwoofer box was given a port. Before you buy, double-check the sizes. This was a little smaller than I expected, but that's my fault for not double-checking.
I bought two of these tubes to make a "bass reflex" box out of my custom-built sealed desktop speakers. The bass performance is audible and, according to the manufacturer, is a perfect match for my speakers.
That sounds fantastic. I would have preferred a larger one because it was too small for me. However, it is simple to install; simply cut the hole and insert it.
It was precisely what I was looking for.
The price is extremely reasonable.
Does exactly what you'd expect.
The built-in boxes in the front dash of my Camry now have a great "bass reflex" effect. I'm delighted!.
