Questions & Answers

Are these suitable (or even required) for use on carpet?

My substitutes are sitting on the carpet - Actually, rugs; the subs are supposed to be set up on carpets, according to the instructions. SVS feet work well on carpet, in my opinion.

What are the exact dimensions of these feet in terms of height and width?

Height- 1 1/2" in diameter. 2 1/4".

Will the screws work with a Bower & Wilkins ASW610?

The feet come with a variety of screws to fit a variety of subs; however, I would double-check with SVS direct to be sure.

Is it necessary for me to resubmit my application? Audyssey, do you want to go for a run?

Yes re- Since you're using your feet to improve sound quality, run Audyssey.

This is not a gimmick
5/5

These isolation feet are incredible; they're a bit pricey, but they work. I assumed they were a ruse, but I was mistaken. br>br>I own two SVS SB12- While the NSDs sat on hardwood floors in our living room, they sent vibrations throughout the room and up through the walls, vibrating anything attached to the walls, including pictures and fixtures. br>br>Did some research and discovered that isolation pads helped to reduce or eliminate these vibrations as well as improve the sound quality of the subs; however, I didn't care for how they looked, especially since they were wider and longer than my subs, so I decided to give them a try and return them if they didn't help. br>br>I can assure you that they will not be returned! They do work; the vibrations are almost completely gone, and the bass sound quality has improved significantly. As an added bonus, I can crank up the volume while maintaining a nice, clean bass. I also checked with my next-door neighbor, who says he hears a lot less bass coming from our place, even when I crank up the volume. br>br>These are definitely keepers; I just wish SVS included them as standard on all of their subwoofers; given that SVS sells high-end products at high-end prices, I don't think it would be too much to ask for them to include these on all of their subwoofers:.

However, the feet are nice and isolating
3/5

I gave it three stars because they should have been a lot better for the price. br>br>Nice isolating feet, but the bolt goes through a HUGE hole drilled in the feet. Why couldn't they just drill the hole the right size? I'll go to Lowe's and find a washer that will fit inside the feet and keep them from moving. Because of all the play from the over-sized whole, the manual warns against dragging the sub across the floor, as it may cause damage to the feet. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> When I contacted SVS tech support, I was informed that the large hole was intended to accommodate various bolt sizes. It should have included washers to fill the space between the bolt and the hole. Also, the part that goes against the sub is made of metal, which contrasts with the vinyl. Rubber should have been bonded to the metal in the first place. The feet would have been extremely stable with those two design changes.

Don't be hesitant to purchase them
5/5

I was hesitant at first because of the cost, which included import duties and freight charges to Thailand, as well as the exchange rate and the fact that I needed two packs because I have two Subs. br>However, these insulaters are well worth every baht I spent on them. br>The rattling from inside the ceiling is "gone," and after doing a before and after test with two of my reference bass test soundtracks (Every Woman, Whitney Houston, and Buffalo Soldier, Bob Marley), I can tell you that the SVS Isolaters have made a significant improvement to (both) of my Klipsch R10SW Subs. br>The Isolaters are about twice the height of the Klipsch original feet, which, in addition to all of the above benefits, has one additional benefit: the subs now look better. br>It only took about 10 minutes total to fit the feet to the two subs. br>It's one of the best sound quality upgrades I've made to my surround sound system to date, in terms of value for money. If you're looking for a unique way to.

For my subwoofer, these are excellent feet
4/5

It's something that should probably be in stock. After purchasing an SVS SB16 subwoofer recently, I decided to purchase these feet in order to elevate the sub and "decouple" it from the floor. I haven't noticed any difference in sound quality or character since installing these feet, so I haven't given them a rating based on that. They are high quality and easy to install- This is a simple replacement for the sub's current "stock" feet. They're a little pricey for what you get, but there aren't any other options besides foam pads. br>My main gripe with the item is that they should have come with the sub when I purchased it from SVS. If I spend $2000 on a subwoofer that weighs more than a hundred pounds, I should expect it to have some substantial feet. To make me buy these as an aftermarket part, it appears to be a cheap move on SVS's part. br>In conclusion- It's a high-quality item that's simple to install, but it probably should've come with an SVS subwoofer already installed.

The Velodyne DD- is a great match
5/5

There are fewer rattles in the house, and the bass output is more tight, accurate, and efficient. A Velodyne DD-100 is what I use. 15 sub for primarily home theater use on hardwood floors, which resulted in a lot of rattling throughout the house during action scenes. I decided to take a chance on these isolators because of the positive reviews and the fact that I could return them if I wasn't satisfied. Let's just say these are going to stay with me. Not only are most of the rattles gone, but I was also able to use the built-in EQ system to achieve the same output level with a slightly reduced sub volume. This could be due to the fact that less energy is transmitted through the house's floor. Bass appears to be more accurate and focused, which could simply be due to the fact that I'm not hearing the house rattle as much. I'm very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone. The SVS feet are shown in comparison to the stock Velodyne units in this photo.
