There is no need for this component to be attached. You should be able to set your equipment up on these feet with no problem.
As a support, they act as a bridge. Place the cylindrical base on the spike, and then screw the spike into the bottom stub. Putting the equipment on top of the four will allow you to use them.

I'll start by saying the Although each part is in its own plastic bag, all the pieces are stuffed into a small box of dubious quality, which will cause them to rub against each other as they move. The scratch on mine was so small it could not be seen- From even a few centimeters away, it is not visible at all The experience you have may be different from my own. * Okay, now to the meat and potatoes. These were very simple to design, but beautifully crafted and were quite appealing to me visually. I purchased three sets in total I have two sets of black for my Elac Alchemy amplifier and preamp/DAC/streamer, and one set on silver for my silver SACD player. It was only today that I received the silver model instead of the black, hence I can only share pictures of the silver model. In the picture below you can see that I decided not to use the included cups (for lack of a better word). Those cups could be used either way, I guess. Apparently they were too small to fit my SACD player's large feet, and their sheer size would make it look a bit silly, which is already suicidal of me to choose looks over function, but hey. It turns out that I had some base plates for spikes from an unused amp stand, and those work perfectly with the spikes from Douk, with the spikes being placed beneath each foot and pointed downward. I realize it's hard to tell until I turn it up to 11 whether or not the Douk feet are doing their job, but for now they look great and I definitely prefer being able to see the spikes instead of hiding Would be great to offer a version without the cups and with base plates like this.
They are a good replacement for your old Because I am 40 years old, I needed these There was a problem with my old rubber feet on my turntable. Due to the motor on the bottom of my turntable, I needed these feet to provide the extra height Others weren't tall enough to replace them. I didn't understand how the parts fit together from the images, but after I received the feet, it all made sense. As replacement feet, these work well and look good as well. They came in the mail today, and I am very pleased with.
Simple to use and set up. There is no assembly required for this unit, and it is packaged well. There are reports that there have been some packaging issues corrected since I'm very pleased with how it works, and it.
