Questions & Answers

Are these threaded rods of that size? For my application, I'd like to order some that are a little longer. ?

In reality, the "rods" are 1/4" by 3". 5" machine bolts that are threaded all the way through. Six bolt/lock washer combinations are included, as well as four bracket pieces. Two 1 meter masts are the maximum size that can be accommodated. 5". If one mast has a smaller diameter, the other may have a diameter greater than 1/5". The sum of the two mast diameters should not exceed 3" as a rule of thumb. Longer bolts could be ordered to increase mast diameter capacities, but keep in mind that the brackets are drilled for 1/4" hardware, so increasing the diameter/weight of the mast with longer hardware could compromise its strength. I hope this information is useful.

How far apart are the holes from the center?

5 inch

I'm looking for a pole-to-pole clamp that can handle up to two poles. Pole with a diameter of 1/2". Everything I've found on Amazon is only good for poles up to 2" in diameter. Do you have any suggestions?

In my experience, if it doesn't say 2, it doesn't mean anything. If it can't handle 5 inches, it won't be able to handle 2. 5 inches. This will just fit the pole with the largest OD diameter. Maybe try a custom order? A trade shop that specializes in a specific industry or sport that requires a larger mount? Alternatively, Lowes has two long bolts, six nuts, and four pieces of steel.

I'd like to be certain! Is this clamp strong enough to hold a 3/4-inch pvc pipe in place?

I believe it would; I used it on my 1 inch pipe ladder on my motorhome, and there is still some play that needs to be tightened.

Hex bolts with a length of 5 inches are insufficient
3/5

The hex bolts that come with this aren't long enough to mount from a 2 inch steel post to a 1 inch post, which I'm trying to do. The brackets were just big enough for a 2 in. post, you'll have to force it onto the page, which is fine. All I need to do now is go to Home Depot and get some 5 to 6 inch hex bolts. It's only a minor irritation. It appears to be overpriced for what you get.

Not all roof vent pipes are compatible with this product
3/5

The brackets for mounting an antenna mast on the roof would not fit around the vent pipe, despite my best efforts. The holes had to be dremelled slightly. It was probably only a fraction of an inch apart. The bolts, however, were too short, so I had to go out and purchase some longer bolts. I suppose what you pay for is what you get. Regrettably, I purchased four of these items. So this one might be a better choice next time for wider brackets and longer bolts.

The image is deceiving
3/5

Thread rods with a diameter of 5 inches are too short for poles with a diameter of 1 to 2 inches. The image is not accurate. There were three of them. A 5 inch thread rod can't handle a pole that's between 1 and 2 inches in diameter. br>I'd return my set if it weren't so inconvenient. I'll have to go find a rod that's long enough for me. A comparison of a 1 inch pole to a 2 inch pole would be helpful. Between them, there would be almost no room. In contrast to what your photo depicts.

It was a little shaky, but it did the job
4/5

It was used to attach an outdoor antenna pole (complete with antenna) to a larger diameter satellite dish mounting tripod. In the event of bad weather, I was concerned that it would not be strong enough to secure the antenna pole to the dish mount; However, it has proven to be effective in the past, even in some extremely difficult (40-degree) environments. Winds of up to 50 miles per hour.

If you don't have a large pole, this method works well
4/5

So the provided 1/4" 20 course thread hex bolts work fine for most basic tasks, but if you're trying to attach something to a flag pole, for example, they'll be a little short; fortunately, they're cheap to replace (less than $1. 50). 50 dollars at your local home improvement store). They do, however, clamp and hold reasonably well, and the locking washer that comes with them is extremely useful. Give it a few years, but I don't think it'll have any problems in the long run.

It works
5/5

This was purchased to fit a standard 2 inch steel pipe. the kind you'd find in your neighborhood big box store br>The ID is 2 inches, but the OD is 2 inches. br>br>It was a tight fit for this clamp. According to the specifications, this is exactly what I expected. br>I believe the locking nuts were 5/16 inches in diameter. The wrench was, in any case, standard, not metric. br>br>It appears to be of good quality. Hopefully, it will be able to withstand the test of time.

Threaded bolts must be longer
3/5

The threaded 3 1/2" bolts included with brackets are too short to attach to poles, as others have stated. So, like everyone else, I'll go to Home Depot and buy some 6" threaded bolts, stash them in a drawer, and probably never use them again. Hey, how about some bolt length options and a sign that you're actually reading these product reviews, seller?.

As expected, it performs admirably
5/5

This was used to mount and secure an old TV antenna rotator to my tower. It worked well, but I needed to buy x2 1/4" threaded rods to extend it.
