In the direction you have pointed your antenna, this signal meter will detect the strongest signal that is seen by the antenna. A MHz reading is not possible with this device. You are picking up only the strongest signal if there are multiple signals coming from the same direction.
Take it easy. It is only available as an OTA transmission.
The answer seems to be yes. VHF high is one of the harder to get channels here. By aiming for a good signal, this device can be helpful.

In the attic I have an OTA antenna. After adjusting the plan (multiple times) with a compass and online directions, I had to go back and adjust it again. My reception is not always steady or reliable though I get a lot of channels. I finally came across THE CIMPLE CO in my second search Analyze the strength of the signal. In comparison with other meters, it had very good reviews and was affordable. Once you realize that a "blinking" light will not be noticed no matter how many lights are shining, it is easier to cope with. One light was all I saw in my case. Once that was done, the fine adjustment could be made. My local channels are all available and I get one channel for the first time. There is no doubt that this meter is worth your consideration. In spite of the likelihood that we would only use it once, we were well advised to invest in this product. This is one thing I learned that took me back to the days of rabbit ear antennae. The antenna was holding an extremely strong signal when I held it by the main rods and I later realized it was the rabbit ear antenna effect. I thought about wrapping aluminum foil around the cross bars to help improve reception, but in the end, I realized it was the rabbit ear antenna effect! Now it is August 16, 2020, and I am watching all the channels through my OTA system. The CIMPLE is a very reliable system. I used to have a lot of adjustments, compensations, or compromises before I used it. A similar antenna placed at the same location but with an increase in CIMPLE accuracy of adjustment. On my list of the best investments I have made, this is near the top. You have provided an extremely helpful tool with a very reasonable price tag.
My background is in electronics, having worked as an electronics technician for 16 years prior to 1990. Despite its low price, this product is useful and accurate, as well as economical. It was well worth the money I spent on It would have been better if there were a dial instead of LEDs.
It seems the signal strength meter would help zero in the signals better, and thus allow fine tuning of the not so steady 5 signals.
Stood in front of the original set of rules to take pictures. There are no signal amps up (note this). Only 3 blue lights appear on the meter when it's hooked up. As per instructions, I followed them exactly. A compass and several apps, as well as websites, were used to help dial in each antenna separately. The variable amplifier was hooked up, too. It was only possible to It will always be 35 channels, no matter the combination of antennas or whether the amp is connected. The antennas could only produce two blue lights after they were adjusted. We went back to the 47 solid signal setup that was non-amplified after being frustrated for 2 hours. The cause of the failure of the meter is not known. I am now going to purchase an even better and.
I live in an area that has multiple broadcast antennae, so I get multiple channels. thought this signal strength meter would be able to differentiate between towers so that I would be able to determine the best location for each tower, then place the antennae in the best location "compromise. " In the meter, I can only see the strength of the strongest tower because it does not differentiate between them. Even so, I still had to use trial/error for every channel and eventually returned to the same compromised location I had previously used (e. g. I was not helped by the meter).
I know you must have been bugged by this This is one of those times when they should My family and I are getting ready to go full time RVing, so I thought this might be helpful. As it stands, I am too close to a major city for this to make any difference, but since trying it out? It was only possible for me to get two Three of the lights need to be lit. The antenna was rotated multiple times around a full 360 degree arc. As I was reading the directions for the first time, I was thrown off somewhat and felt very While my intention is to increase the stars on the review, only time will tell if I will be able to do so. I'm sorry to admit, but I have no idea what I misread, because I read the instructions again and they seem straightforward. In addition to posting updates once I'm out in different environments, I'm planning to record videos as well.
In addition to extending the life of outdoor telephone lines, this device also provides great troubleshooting capabilities. The signal strength indicator simply signals whether you are hearing a signal at the other end. Saving hours by running new lines can save you a great deal of time.
A nice meter seems to have been built well. I tried it on my antenna, but it didn't work. It's one of those plastic jobs that generates power through the coaxial cable to the antenna and has a rotor. I connected it and immediately noticed the power light coming on even though it was in the off position. The box will be returned to the sender. In order to address this issue, some should be added to the description.
If you are adjusting an indore antenna, you need to move away from it for a true reading, or else the meter will be difficult to read. Furthermore, you need to be especially careful not to move the antenna when the meter is disconnected.
