It is true. There is only one dish in my kitchen.
The reason for not doing so is not apparent to me.
This device needs a power source external to the device. Would you recommend either a battery pack or a portable charger? This can be either a transmitter or A Directv H24 receiver or a Genie HR54 or a dish network receiver and a battery pack to start up the LNB could be used.

I've used digital units before, but this analog unit seems to work better because of the quick response time. It lets you know as soon as you're locked on to satellite with a tonal alert. A knob and a meter make it easy to fine tune. The measurements on my dish were the highest that I have ever recorded. There's no need to spend a lot on a good tool all the time. My recommendation is to do so.
A satellite that has all kinds of bells and whistles like full video decoding was what I was looking for with my more expensive digital meter. In the end, I couldn't find a single satellite after spending all these hours on the roof. But this analog meter, which cost a tenth of the price, showed up instantly. Within a few minutes, I am able to locate the satellite simply by listening to the tone. After that, I can scan it with my digital meter to figure out what The satellite I wish to see is quickly found after a few tries. This is the device you should definitely purchase if you will be installing a satellite.
In the end, I gave up after spending a lot of time trying to align the antenna, and I paid HughesNet $125 to align it.
