Are there any restrictions on how many devices can be connected ?

There might be a middle connector middle bar that could connect them in theory. There is no evidence for that in my experience. The rubber tips are my favorite part of mine

It looks small and unimpressive, but it does exactly what it says it will. The GEM Dandy RCM allows me to use it to dry records I wash with it.

What it is supposed to do is what it does. A rack for storing records when they are not in use. As well as being convenient, they can be disassembled when not in use, which makes them a more efficient use of space.
