Questions & Answers

Does the tray at the bottom of the stack have enough room to remove the CDs easily?

In most cases, that is true unless the container is In order to get your fingers around the case, you simply need to have a little wiggle room. The bottom of the box still has 3 spots and I'm able to easily pull out any disc from there.

Do these DVDs belong to me? How many are there, if any? Thanks so much! ?

In my case, DVDs would probably be held. CDs are a little thicker than DVDs, and the unit holds about forty CDs, so you will have fewer DVDs to store. There is one warning, though The ad says they are stackable, but they are not. Then again, that's less true if you're simply filling them up That's all I can do. I hope it's helpful.

Do you have any idea how much of the DVD sticks out of the ends when you use the case to store dvds?

Stacking four against the wall appears to be sufficient I can imagine stacking more if they are parallel to the wall
4/5

The problem is that I only remove them one at a time. Another way to say it is that I have not tried taking apart the top three to get to the.

I have a problem
5/5

The SOLUTION to the problem! I am adding an update to my previous review from two years ago As I've already discussed in my review from two years ago, you can also read my most recent update that discusses this issue more clearly There is not enough room for CDs to be inserted and removed when you stack these storage boxes two or three high. I'm not sure why I didn't think of this earlier.

The solution I discovered just recently is so simple and obvious that its hard to believe I didn't see The total now comes to over half a billion dollars I've added an inch to the space above the CDs so that I can now easily remove and replace the CDs, and I can also fit those over-sized vinyl replica CD jackets and whatever else I might have in my collection. I store my DVD discs in an additional furniture shelving unit that is reserved for media storage. (I also have many box sets, but I store them in a separate unit. ) I have now found a solution to my problem with these storage boxes! As you can see from the new photos I posted here, two of them show the CDs stacked in the usual way (tightly fit, with jackets that don't fit lying on the floor in front), and two showing the alternative means of organization and stacking. As it is, I still believe this product could be improved with a redesign, but now that I have figured out how to use the boxes better, I will bump the rating The previous review was posted on August In my extensive CD collection, I have purchased over a dozen of these products and give them a five-star rating. I've acquired some serious criticisms due to my heavy use of them over the last few months. This is a beautiful product of high quality and design, with a sturdy build, quality, and a modular design. Their size allows them to be easily accommodated in It's still possible to move them around and pick them up even when full. While some other reviewers have noted the issue of pulling CDs from the lower boxes once stacked, it is harder to do so once it is stacked. There are mostly empty boxes at the top of the stack. Once the jewel cases are inserted and pulled out, there is just enough vertical clearance for them to stick in and pull When the bottom is full, the bottom sags just enough that it sits on top of the CD cases in the box below and makes taking out the cases difficult. It works well for standard jewel cases, but if you have a diverse collection, you might want something more robust. There are sometimes oddly sized digipaks and mini discs that come with disc sets When some specialty labels create CD cases that look like LP replica jackets, they are too tall to fit in the same boxes. In addition, once a box is added, the CD cases will sag and rest on the bottom, making it impossible to remove the In addition, I am not using more than three storage boxes at a time. Additionally, there is an issue regarding oddly sized CD cases like those found in box set designs and mini-CD cases There is also a problem with LP jackets because they are too wide and so the front cover doesn't stay closed. It has been difficult to make these things work, and I found some solutions for keeping them closed. I got some Velcro stickers and put them on the inside of the flap, and that helped, but the adhesive wasn't strong enough to hold onto the leatherette material so they break off easily. Regarding the height issue, I stuck on some clear plastic adhesive bumpers that I bought at a hardware store along with the Velcro, but when the CDs were fully stuffed inside the CD holders, the weight caused the plastic bumpers to come off when the CD holders are moved around. My next step was to hammer black upholstery tacks into the bottom corners to elevate the boxes on top, but the tacks were too slippery, so the boxes would slip and slide instead of stacking snugly. Since I already bought 17 of these, I need to figure out another trick. They are well made, but they are not well designed, so I have to find a way to make them work. As a result, these small storage boxes are the better choice since there is no space for another large media cabinet in my room. They would do well to stack the CDs with plenty of space between the lower and upper storage boxes to allow easy access to CDs. From half to three- I SUBTRACT A QUARTER INCH TO THE HEIGHT OF THESE BOXES, AND A ONE-HUNDREDTH INCH TO THE WIDTH In the quarter or in the one-quarter I would add half an inch to the depth of the screws, then they would function properly. As it stands, I have spent so much money and so much time trying to get these things to work out right that I am not sure what I should.

Five out of five stars for this product! This CD tray was one of five that I bought in January of As I stated in my review on January 26, 2018, I gave them 5
4/5

0 stars for appearance and functionality. If the trays were stacked, I had mentioned the possibility of a problem with access to lower trays, since the upper trays would have had to be lifted. As of last month (21 September 2019), I purchased two more trays, and I am happy to report that the trays have significantly improved. On the front of each tray is now a magnetic opening that can be lowered to allow CDs to be accessed from lower trays without displacing CDs on the Because I gave the trays 5 stars in 2018, I believe that a rating of 5+ is proper based on the technological advancement.

I have one caveat to this beautiful and well-made product
5/5

Since I moved to Europe in 2017, my CDs have lived in boxes. Then, upon my return in 2018, they were locked away in a box again. This year (2020), I finally managed to liberate them. In the event that I had so many the drawers of my sideboard would not have been able to store my CDs all at one time. We had to come up with an alternate storage solution.
I came across this unit after exploring many different options, and I was intrigued because not only did it look elegant, but it also met my needs in terms of dimensions. After ordering two, I ordered another two because I really liked them. They are so convenient that I am likely to order four more to maximize the number of CDs I can store in them and to use the drawers only as overflow and should I have large CDs (digipacs, etc. ). So, Several others have pointed out that it is almost impossible to remove a CD from a player when another is on top of the CD player. It's pretty obvious why this is happening, as the bottom of the box slightly caves in from the weight of the CDs and pushes (gently) on the CDs below. The upper one can easily be lifted by a few millimeters because I only stack two and can easily lift the upper one. In some cases it may be a deal breaker if you stack more than two or three but, in this case, I think it cannot be fixed because you'd need much sturdier materials in order to prevent The front that flips down at the top of the box is just a little bit of a concern since I'll likely open it frequently to access the music.

Quality of the highest order
4/5

As you can see from the picture, these CD trays are for my wife's CD collection, which I had wanted to get rid of but had to keep. It ended up that I had to get 8 to fit her entire collection, and the first thing I noticed was that all 8 looked Each of the same size, shape (there is no warping), as well as all matching It is colored. wooden furniture perfectly and the stitching is tight and attractive as well. The typical plastic jewel case fits perfectly in this tray, but when one is full, it might be difficult to remove it (a temporary solution is to move one to the next tray) . We use them stacked under the bed as well (single stack), but they are secure as well. Despite the 23-dollar price tag, I found the trays to be well worth it.

The quality of the product is excellent Make sure you take a good look at the flap on the front
5/5

Thank you so much, I got them fairly quickly and I love them. A high standard of quality is a good thing. When you look closely, you'll see that they can either have a drop-down flap to make getting out the CD easier when stacked, or they can be bought without thought I was clever to find out about this before I ordered (because I usually wait until I have ordered to read over everything The flap was too large for me. If I had it to do over again, I would order without it. These things I use when I'm planning a listening station, along with trays to carry over to the cabinet which has the CD player. One of the disadvantages, of course, is that the flap falls down if you move too swiftly and all the CDs fall to the ground. It would be better if you used the one with the movable flap if you plan to place these on a shelf for continued use. It's not recommended that you stack them over 4 high as there is enough SAG to keep the little flaps closed. If I want to keep my wits about me or glue the flaps shut, I'll just have to keep my wits about me. I have barely touched any plastic items that I currently own or have seen for several years now.
