It was an easy fix for a poor drywall job
5/5

Not all of my electricians and sheetrockers were able to do what they claimed to be able to do A star. I found that several of my wall plates had gaps just outside of the standard size. It was in the toilet room in the master bath that I became particularly annoyed. I noticed there was an 1/8 inch gap on the upper left side of the door. I was annoyed by it every time I walked in the room. I finally had enough, so I Four years have passed since then. There's a slightly oversize plate in front of me. I did not find it to be the most affordable. Four dollars seems steep, but I could not find it cheaper anywhere else. As a result, I replaced the fartfan control with a timer control one evening. After installing the new wall plate, I cleaned it off and painted it. In order to control the system, it took about 5 minutes. To mount the wall plate, it took just There is no need for any other tools besides a You want to take care not to scratch the paint by securing the screws straight and easy. For those with OCD, there was enough flexibility in the plate to allow vertical alignment on the screws. That's it, the problem is From now on, when I sit on the throne and look up at the wall plate, I can say to myself, "I fixed that. " There is no king but me.

This piece of drywall is perfect for hiding sloppy installations
5/5

Evidently, the people who installed the drywall in my home back in the 80s did not do their job very carefully. The manufacturers installed oversize plates in order to hide their lack of skill. Several switches were replaced by nice digital dimmers recently, and I had to upgrade the old style cover plates to this new style, which has a large hole that allows the control to pass When I discovered the typical new wall plates did not cover the gaps around the box, I was annoyed. Compared to the previous cover, this one is a bit larger and conceals more I had no problem with this fix and it was much easier than sparkling, sanding, and repainting the edges of.

It's a bit oversized, but not too bad
4/5

As a result, I inherited the stupidity of the old One of the dumb moves (contractors or homeowners) was to cut too large of a hole around some of the light switches and outlets, as it also informed me that I had some drafting issues. In all of my local stores, I could not find covers from Cooper brand that were oversized or larger. This type of computer or at least that kind. Since this would be my last order, I bought contractor packs of the Cooper brand. They held sufficient pieces to cover those overcuts. Of course, this would be the last pack, I like it since it is sturdy enough (a bit thicker than Coopers'), which is a good As well as screws, it includes four new ones. It is my only complaint that Levitrons oversized covers are a little larger than Cooper's version by less than 1/4" all around which makes them look massive in comparison Fortunately, it will end up going to the far corner of the kitchen wall, where the storage jars are located. Coupled with the insulation pads at the very least Despite the bad tile cutting job on the wall tiles, it keeps the drafts out and is more than sufficient to cover the gaping holes. * * * So the point here is that manufacturers define "oversized/large" differently - they may have different definitions of what "large" is and whatever it means to them. Comparing brands is a great way to learn more about them. I was not satisfied with the fit, finish, or materials, but all in all it's a good product.

The installation process is simple

I was able to get Lutron switches to work. An older switch plate (wallplate) was cracked, so we ordered this one to replace it. A drywall covering that covers up the previously damaged edges of the switch box is the oversized version. There is also an item number for the standard size of this brand name and style (Leviton Decora). My husband said that it will be very easy to install the plate. Note that the screws are accessible from the front side. There were several other styles that had hidden screws to give a sleek and modern appearance Installing this may be a bit tricky for people who are klutzy. The wallplate turned out to be better than we thought. a rich white color that blends in very well with the white plate, and are barely noticeable once the plate is installed. We have an existing white slider on this wallplate, and we're matching it perfectly with this wallplate in white. Changing the switch. The wallplate it appears to be is Leviton brand, but it works fine among two Lutron modules There are similar switches in brand switch sets (such as.

Designed to cover holes that are too big! Using these covers is a great choice for people with oversized holds that normally wouldn't be covered with a regular sized cover
5/5

It is a product that I have bought several times. There is a crack in one, but I believe it was caused by shipping damage. Normally Amazon is great, so I was refunded without any hassles when the item arrived damaged. Amazon sells many things that you shouldn't be scared to buy.

This is great for covering holes and flaws in drywall These were purchased as a way to cover up some defects in our drywall where switches were cut
4/5

We found that these work really well for that, and they work better with the chunky craftsman-style baseboards and trim. We lost a star because it did not come with the screws needed to mount it, but the whole experience was good.

In the photo you can see how this oversized wall plate covered an outlet with an irregular cut
4/5

In the photo you can see how this oversized wall plate covered an outlet with an irregular cut. Despite its simple appearance, it comes with standard interchangeable screws and is white in color. A perfect fit was also achieved with the switches. Although some reviews raised concerns about the quality of the plastic, I did not find that the product was lacking in any way. Here are some quick installation instructions There is an issue with the screws in this and typical wall plates - they are very short. The plastic may crack if you make too much pressure on it. It was possible to get the screws to catch by applying minimal pressure and increasing it until I got Basically, don't apply too much pressure when you start. You might have to make the screw turn a few extra times, but the plate won't break if the pressure is correct.
