As I was installing 6- it was necessary to have some of these A port and an 8-bit number In cases where I did not need all 8 or six ports, I used port keystone plates. The Leviton inserts themselves fit perfectly and clicked into place, even though I was not using Leviton plates. There isn't much else to say - they were good. I liked that they performed the function intended for them, that the color matched other white plates and jacks, and that they fit properly. The plates look much better than a hole left blank in the middle.
There is a lot of tightness in these, which can be good and bad. In the case of Keystone plates, they will not move, but, if you need to remove one to add another jack, it is impossible. Once installed, I had to clip the tab off of it with a side-cutter (which destroyed it) to remove it.
To get this to fit, I had to sand it down. The fit is still not great, and I will probably order another from another brand sooner or later. Although I'd give it a lower rating, it was A) listed in the reviews and B) not a matching brand. I couldn't find what I needed locally and didn't want a hole in the wall, so it gave me what I wanted.
Having only used them with the Leviton keystone plate, there isn't much to comment on other than they fit perfectly. The areas I can see do not appear to have any gaps. In future, this is a good choice if you want to fill in blank slots on a Leviton plate.
I used Mediabridge and Monoprice's face-to-face software There were no holes in the plates and the fit was very tight. These are not recommended for those plates, as you may not be able to remove them without breaking something (thank goodness I just had to remove the insert, not the whole.
There are several different brands of RJ45 connectors that I have used. I could pop out some generic cover plate blanks with minimal pressure after I used some generic cover plate blanks. They install cleanly and stay in place after I purchased these Leviton blanks. The best shoes I've ever worn.
The unit installed flush and was easy to snap into place. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not happy.
They were inexpensive. I love how well they work!.
