In my absence, I did not realize this until they were installed, but these wall plates are deep, so it protrudes farther than a standard receptacle without a deep It's no big deal for me, but if you put it next to a trash can, you will notice it protrudes further and you may want to consider this.

The Carlon LV old work brackets (orange) cannot be installed into the wall plate of the brackets. To trim around 0, I had to remove a few pixels. In order for the wall plate to be flush against the wall, it must be at least 5 mm away from the Carlon Bracket. It would be good if the wall plate came with regular flat head screws. Four clips hold the fibers in place on the bracket that holds them in. When the clips turned out to be dislodged during installation, I thought I had damaged the piece. The cable could be a concern if you have a large amount of cable running through them, like I do. It was reattached, but I was worried about running a cable through it. Despite that, I do not think there will be any issues.

I bought two Brush Wall Plates so I could run HDMI and power cables through a closet wall to mount a monitor for my home surveillance A coat closet located close to the front door was installed with the system. I was able to find exactly what I wanted on the wall plates. They offer a variety of mounting options, and I appreciate that. I cut a rectangle hole to size on both sides of the wall and mounted them to the sheetrock using plastic screw anchors (there was no need for a wall box Their functionality is excellent and they provide the professional finish I desired as well as at a great price. As you can see, there is nothing wrong these wall plates but in all honesty they aren't that The profile of these wall plates is peculiar they don't fit in with any standard decorative plate. There is too much depth to them. There is not enough space in the opening. get that they do the job that they're supposed to but, if you install them in a house that has decorative plates already installed, they immediately look out of place. The price is reasonable, the quality is decent. There is a brush pass that Leviton sells. There is a through that works WAY better and can work with the plates you have. What's more, the opening is much larger.

It turned out to be the perfect brush wall plate for what I needed although I was unsure when I ordered it. This assembly is actually made up of two pieces. There is a brush on the piece that has a face similar to the face of a designer-style light switch. As the outer piece of the brush, the outer plate screws on to the brush piece much like the way a switch plate attaches to a light switch. By passing the brush piece through a cable (such as an HDMI cable) with practically any type of connector at the end, the cable can be passed through the brush piece. In this manner, the brush forms around the cable to hide anything behind it (say, the hole you had after you removed that sheet of plywood). My first order was a big hit, so I ordered a second one so I could keep track of the progress. There was an installation guide for the first one (but not the second one for some reason) that explained how to mount this brush wall plate via low voltage mounting brackets. A box of this type would not be required if desired and would also allow for avoiding the use of an electrical type box. It was my responsibility to run the cables through a low-voltage network In fact, I used a plastic electrical box in place of a voltage conduit Even though the brush wall plate assembly did not work, it worked just fine. The outer plate was unscrewed from the inner brush before I disassembled it (they are screwed together at the factory and initially appear to be one piece). As I was installing the brush piece on the electrical box, I threaded the cable through the brush piece. Once I connected the cable through the center of the outer plate, I attached the outer plate to the brush piece (which was now mounted to the electrical box), and voila, my work was complete. This item was reviewed very critically prior to my ordering it, and one of the reviews recommended not buying it because it is not a split plate, meaning the cable will have to be disconnected from its point (TV, cable box, whatever) for the wall plate to work. It seems to me that that review has completely missed The item was never advertised as being able to be installed without having to disconnect very well is offer a much more attractive solution than a hole in your wall with a cable coming out of it. As for the wall plate, I'm glad this didn't come as a split plate since it looks a lot better and is likely much stronger than a split plate.

A Sense energy monitoring system was installed in my electric panel, and along with the system there is an antenna that must be mounted externally. In the Senses manual, you are instructed to mount the antenna in a hole, but because the electric panel is built into the wall, the hole will also be behind the wall. The Sense is mounted outside of the panel, so I decided to mount it Then I put a plastic outlet box in the drywall on either side of the stud and ran the wires through the knockout, through the stud, through the outlet box, and out to the Sense, which came with a wall mount. A holder mounted to the wall. There was no cover in the outlet box, so I ordered this brush wall plate to dress up the installation and make it look more finished.
