It is best to charge the HDMI switch with the included power adapter to ensure that it has enough power.
There was a noticeable lag on my device. This is especially true when switching from HDMI to Display port.
Yes, it is possible - On my Harmony remote, I've programmed it. I only gave this product two stars because of the issues it has with 4K UHD and 3D sources, where it frequently loses connection. I also tried two Totu HDMI switches, both of which had the same issue. It would be even better if you could turn it off with your IR remote, but that feature isn't available.
Infrared (IR) is a type of light that can only be seen with the naked eye. An IR receiver/repeater or a radio frequency (RF) controlled HDMI switch is required. That product may or may not be available.

This is ideal for older televisions that have a limited number of HDMI inputs. It can also be used to connect anything that has an HDMI cable to anything that has an HDMI input. It functions as an HDMI hub, allowing you to switch between any of the hub's HDMI inputs and transmitting the signal to the output or TV. It's appealing to the eye, as well as being small and light. br>br>PLEASE NOTE: This product has made me very happy. br>br> If you liked this review, please give it a "thumbs up/like" so that I can keep providing you with honest/unbiased information about products I've used and that you might be interested in. It only has two HDMI inputs, which has been a problem for quite some time. I have a cable box, an AppleTV, and a Blu-ray player. player of rays an Xbox that is "tethered" to the television Two of these units can be turned off at any time. To connect another unit, I had to physically disconnect something. It was clear that I needed a HDMI switch. This TOTU switch was recommended to me by a friend. br>br>A few days ago, I received my TOTU HDMI switch. It has a clean, functional design that gives the impression that it has been well-maintained. The device has two round buttons on the front panel, one on each side - The "Switch" button is located on the left. The "Power" button is to the right. The input is cycled from 1 to 10 by pressing the Switch button. The Power button, hopefully, will be self-contained. self-explanatory br>br>A small remote control is also included, which allows you to choose which input to use. br>br>The unit has four HDMI inputs on the back. There is only one HDMI port. One advantage of using an HDMI switch is that I now only have one cable to connect to my TV, rather than two (in my case) or four (if your TV has four HDMI connections). br>br>As a result, even if your TV has enough connectors for your AV accessories, the TOTU switch simplifies your connection to your TV by requiring only one cable. br>br>The TOTU switch does exactly what it says. Using the included remote, you can quickly switch from one input to the next. But there was one feature I hadn't anticipated - if I'm sitting in front of my cable box, I want to watch something on my AppleTV, so I turn it on. The TOTU changes to the AppleTV input automatically. The input connected to the powered-up player is always selected by the TOTU switch. If you have a cable box or a video game console, All of the AppleTVs are turned on, and you can select the input you want with the remote. If the game console is turned off, The TOTU switch will choose the only unit that is still turned on - AppleTV. the television set-top box br>br>The TOTU is a small device that has completely transformed how I watch television - Everything is working out well. There will be no more disconnects. It's no longer my responsibility to reconnect cables. In addition, if you want to get rid of the clutter of four HDMI cables running to your TV, the TOTU HDMI switch can reduce this to just one cable for a much cleaner appearance. This TOTU switch comes highly recommended by me. Overall, this is a fantastic product that solves my problem of having more AV players than TV connections. However, cutting down on the number of HDMI cables that run to my television is a nice bonus.
This switch can be used to either increase the number of HDMI ports on your TV or to automate the process of changing HDMI inputs. br>br>All you have to do to set up the hub is run one HDMI cable from the hub to the TV, then plug in any HDMI devices you want. Once the hub is turned on and the TV is set to the correct input, you can cycle between the various inputs by pressing the button on either the switch or the remote; the best part is that it does so automatically, so you can keep your TV on 'HDMI 1' for example, and the hub will display whatever device you have powered on. You'll have to manually switch between devices if you have multiple devices on at the same time, but it'll still be faster than changing the input on your TV. br>br>I also like the switch's color, which is a gunmetal grey that complements my TV setup nicely. Overall, it's a nice switch; it does what it's supposed to do while also providing some extra benefits.
Perhaps a step forward. Initial thoughts (after only 24 hours of use): br>br>It's even better than I had hoped for! br>br>It has a sleek appearance and good picture quality. There is no latency to speak of. It's smart enough to figure out what's connected and display video. br>br> If I connect four HDMI cables but only two are connected to a device, I can only cycle through the two active inputs (for example, if I have a PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch). If only the PS4 and Switch are turned on, pressing the "switch button" will only cycle between the two. "br>It's just a small thing to keep you from pressing the button four times. br>I'm still experimenting with this, and I'm not sure if this feature works flawlessly all of the time. br>br>The device's button feel is "meh," and it feels cheap, but it looks good, so it's not a big deal. And the remote feels cheap, but I'm going to toss it out anyway. The unit's button works perfectly. br>br>The LED brightness isn't excessive, so it won't bother you if you place it directly beneath the television, as I do. br>br>Overall, I am pleased with the service and would recommend it. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> (a few weeks later)br>br>So far, the feature I said I'd experiment with is working flawlessly. It will switch automatically if only one of the four devices is producing video. br>br>The only issue is with devices that output video even when they are "off" or "sleep. " An example of this is an Amazon Fire Stick, which instead of stopping the signal, sends a signal of a blank screen to the television. As a result, it won't automatically switch if you use a fire stick (or something else that doesn't turn off output). br>br>I'm still pleased with it! I'd suggest it.
