This unit caused cross-signal, and despite being plugged into a separate (HDMI/ARC) port, my sound bar stopped working, and I was unable to control three external devices with only sporadic functionality at best. I contacted Samsung technical support, and they informed me that this unit does not work with newer Samsung televisions. Making a comeback.
When multiple devices are connected and powered on, the BluRay player plugged into Port 2 is automatically switched to. To get it back to the XBox, I need to retrieve the remote and press the 1 button. This happens while I'm playing XBox on a regular basis as well. I'm suddenly switched to BluRay and must change back. br>br>I disabled the autoswitching feature (hold the switch button for 5 seconds) and the device now functions properly. br>br>If you want to use an autoswitching device, you'll probably have to turn off the devices you're not using right now.
HDCP 2 and 0a. 2 able individuals. I've had so many problems with them that I can't tell you how many. Everything from losing your handshake at random to wonky auto switching, blank screens, black screens, and flaky colors. It's been a thrilling experience. br>br>This PONYBRO 5-in-1 is a must-have for any pony enthusiast. Finally, a port switch solved the problem. My television is a Sony Bravia XBR-XBRXBRXBRXBRXBRXBRXBRXBRX Only the HDMI 2 is supported at 800E. Three of the ports support HDR. The ARC sound bar uses HDMI 3, so my Roku Ultra, a Sony 4K Blu-ray player, is left with only the HDMI 2 port. Ray player, as well as a PlayStation 5. I needed a switch that could handle all of my devices and had room for expansion. All three of my devices work perfectly with the PONYBRO switch. I've finally figured out how to set the Roku Ultra to 4K UHD @ 60 frames per second with 4. 2 chroma subsampling and make it work without a hitch. The switch switches ports without causing any of the devices to lose their handshake. The PS5 is capable of running in 4K UHD at 60 frames per second. 4 out of 5 stars. This PONYBRO switch isn't a flashy splitter; rather, it's a reliable, well-made switch. built a fundamental 5 It's a great deal for a three-port HDMI switch. at least in my case. Those having trouble with this switch should be aware of the following information. Check your cables and port settings on all of your devices before blaming the switch. I used 18GB 4K UHD HDR certified cables. They were, however, a contributing factor to the issue. All of my cables were replaced with new, certified ones. That is likely to have aided me in my situation. I also checked to see if my device had HDMI 2 ports. HDCP 2 and 0a. capable of doing so, and has been trained to do so. It only takes one faulty cable in your entire setup to cause a slew of problems, not only in the device to which the cable is connected, but also in other devices. And not every HDMI port is the same. My television is equipped with three HDMI ports. Only two of them are fully HDMI 20 compliant. a, as well as HDCP 2. I only had one port for the rest of my devices because one of them is the ARC port. My TV's HDMI 1 port isn't fully functional, but it's not labeled as such. Only the documentation contains this information.
My TV only had two HDMI ports, which was a problem for me. The first is for my Direct TV, and the second is for my Firestick. I got tired of removing the firestick and plugging the chromecast into that one port, so I bought this switch, which allows me to connect both the firestick and the chromecast to it, and select which one I want to use with the remote. It performs admirably. They're also available if I require additional connections. This switch has worked flawlessly for me, and I would recommend it to anyone in need of additional HDMI inputs.
This switch has a "Manual" feature that makes it superior to all other switches I tested for my needs. When power is provided by a new source, the manual feature disables automatic switching to a new input. While this action is acceptable for some purposes, and this switch will function in that manner if you select that option, it makes it difficult to determine which HDMI Port is active, such as when someone is watching a TV show on port one while someone else is removing the DVD from port 2. All of the other switches I tried, including this one, interrupt the TV program and switch to the DVD input in automatic mode. When in manual mode, this unit will automatically switch to the input selected by the remote and stay there until it is changed. This behavior allows you to turn on the DVD player without interrupting the TV show you're watching. It also allows people who live with technically challenged people to have multiple TV inputs and know that when the technically challenged person turns on the TV, everything will work as expected.
I had a lot of components and not enough HDMI inputs on my TV to use them all, so this Switcher came in handy. I have a 4K FireStick, a Nintendo Switch, and a Blu-ray player on it. All of the components, including the Blu-ray player and the upscaling DVD player, are in excellent working order, and I have encountered no issues or problems thus far. I like how it automatically switches to whatever device is turned on, and I only use the included remote once in a while. This is something I would strongly recommend to anyone looking to expand their TV's HDMI inputs.
The HDMI switch is a great buy for the money; it automatically switches if the power to other devices (e. g. , TVs) is turned off. consoles, and the Amazon Fire TV Stick). I have a 4k TV that displays the correct aspect ratio without issue, and I enjoy the product enough that I rarely use the remote unless all of my consoles are turned on. Would recommend to anyone looking to expand only one or two ports on their TV so that they can use more devices.
It was simple to set up – I've got 5 HDMI cables coming in, all of which are sending data to the projector. Direct line of sight is required for switching, and it may take several pushes to complete the task. Some ports appear to be having issues, such as no sound but the picture is still visible. The use of wiggles connections appears to be beneficial. I've never used switching before, so I don't know how it compares to other options.
